OMG that's easily one of the coolest Teles I've ever seen, congrats syl!!!

As for strings, I like an 11-50 set on my Tele tuned a full step down, tensions feels good and very well balanced. If you go changing pickups, check out BKPs Blackguard sets, the Flat 50 bridge pickup is so good! Maybe consider a coil tapped or series/parallel bucker in that neck position down the road too, get you some of that versatility you're used to with the PRS switching....

That tele is goooorgeous! The grain on that oak looks amazing.

A different cap on the tone pot will give you a different amount of treble roll-off; the lower the value of cap you use, the brighter the 'minimum' position on the tone knob will be.
You can also solder a cap between the input and output of the volume pot to make it reduce the treble less when you reduce the volume (known as a 'treble bleed' mod).
Both of these are very much YMMV with what values work with your guitar, pickups and other gear, which might be why they included another cap with it.

It sound a lot different from my PRS.
Pickup are more Noisy, but lot more définitions.
I have to crank the volume on the amp a bit more compare to the PRS.
It sound awesome. I feel like all my pedals sound different (it's like having some new pedals).
I might switch the pickup for those in a couple of month (for higher output):

What's the fretboard radius, 7.25" or 9.5"?

Dude that Tele is major. Really awesome looking. Congrats Syl! I played a Nash Tele Deluxe with those Lollar Regal WRHB's in it, and I couldn't put that damn thing down. Those Lollar's sound gooooooooooood.
Also, while we're at it, NGD recently for me too :
1979 Gibson The Paul
Some non-original parts and somebody punched a hole in it to move the pickup selector up top at some point, but man this thing is killer! The pickups are an old set of DiMarzio Super Distortions, and they sound fantastic. Walnut body and neck, and an ebony board. Lean and mean. Really really digging this one so far.
Shout out to homeboy Chankgeez who made the rounds with me last week while I was trying to figure out which LP to go after. Thanks man!

I dont have this information.
It's smaller than my PRS which is:
•25" scale length, 10" radius fretboard
How do you mesure that?

You're welcome. That guitar is pretty awesome.
Unless you really need to make a quick PU change, I think the selector is in a better spot now.

Assuming it has the same radius as this version?:
http://www.gelbmusic.com/p-4874-fender- ... st-mn.aspx
Fingerboard Radius: 9.5"-14" Compound Radius (241 mm-355.6 mm)

Might be the same radius.
It is described as an American Design Tele Burnt Tobaco Burst.
There's is one on eBay, for the double of the price that I've paid.

(weird)
I don't have any info on the radius or pickups or scale length. I'll try to write Fender about it.

That's probably right cuz it def looks flatter than a vintage style 7.25" in the pics syl posted. Such a badass Tele.
Weird cuz I think 9.5" is the most comfortable scale I've ever played but none of my guitars utilize it, go figure. That said, a 7.25" board has really grown on me lately...

Wow dude, they only made 12 of those burnt tobacco burst Teles worldwide according to that eBay listing, unique find for sure! Also had a burnt pine one listed. I like yours better.

There are actually four of them on ebay, one for $2200 and three for $2000. If you only paid half of either of those prices, that was one hell of a deal! I'd probably have gone home with it too for that price.

It came with a replacement bridge... should I replace it... I guess not.

What is this for?

It sound so great!!!
Oh hell yes!!!! Gorgeous!!!!

I have the black MIM version of this guitar and LOVE it!!!! I swapped the bridge pickup for a GFS power vintage Neovin (noiseless with higher output) and love it. I also picked up the same spare bridge, they call it a nashville bridge and it will come in extremely handy if you do any altered tunings. And that looks like a orange cap for modding the tone controls!!!! Oh and if you end up swapping the WRHB for a lollar I may be interested in yours, apparently the USA ones are way better then the Mexican one i have. Not as good as the lollar but a definite improvement.

They were the only one I could find that listed the complete specs.
They definitely stock some nice, expensive instruments.
