I FORGOT TO GIVE HIM MY NUMBER AND DIDN'T REALIZE UNTIL NOW WHEN I'M LIKE HERE, IN MY ROOM. in conclusion, i don't know how2boys.
At least it's easy to stalk dudes in bands.

Today has sucked, over one hundred to have my tooth fixed, dumb ass dentist has worn off parts of two perfectly healthy teeth and left me with black marks.
Felt like shit after the anasthetic wore off.
Flat above is leaking in to my bathroom and has ruined all the boiler service info that was on the ledge and curtain plus kept me up for an hour after I wanted to sleep trying to make sure it doesn't get worse while I sleep even though I could hear another drip but couldn't see it.
Then I put my jeans on quickly and some fucking things bit my thigh.
Now for a rage sleep.

futuresailors wrote:warwick.hoy wrote:Not easy for me to compare cause I don't really use chef's knifes. All the house knives at work are dull as fuck (cheap NSF food service) chef's knives and I hate them all.
That said; I feel like a Santoku will do everything a chef's knife will do; with a few exceptions like cutting bigger items and that really just requires a bigger knife which chef's knives usually are.
I like the broad blade of the Santoku for picking food up. It works great for mincing herbs, garlic and shallots. I pretty much use my Shun for 95% of my tasks and the other 5% are tasks that would dull my knife,....and I'd rather do that with a shitty house knife
I like how compact the Santoku is without loosing it's functionality. I work in a pretty small kitchen, with a small line and having a sword for a knife just takes up space IMO. I try to be as organized and clean as possible on the line,...but that's not always easy to do if you are getting railed. A smaller knife is easier to deal with in tight spaces.
The only thing I really require of a knife is that it is sharp as fuck and will hold on edge well. Shuns do that and do that well. My knife is probably the sharpest in the house,....which is probably why the sound of it cutting my fingernail off hurt more than the actual cutting my fingernail off.

*ssshhhhiiiiiiiinnnnnggggggg* (that's that blade sound)
Thanky for the blade review... all my knives at home are beat to shit, so it sounds like it's 8" Santoku time.
I totally advocate for getting a Shun even if it's one of their chef's or utility knives. They are seriously sharp and stay sharp. If you do get a Shun,...budget for one of the Shun steels as well. Keeping your knife honed is key and realistic home use should only require a honing once a week and a sharpening (there is a difference) once a year.
Shun stands behind their blades as well. I had a coworker knock mine off the board and broke the very tip off (it actually broke off as opposed to bending,...that's how hard the steel is). It's not crucial that I have the tip is there as the knife functions just fine. I had the option of sending it in for a repair or replacement through one of the local dealers. I opted out and just use it as is since I don't want to have to work a day with one of the house knives. I will likely pick up a matching one for home use and have the broken one for work with the idea that I'll eventually send it in for repair or replacement.

being with my gf was pretty weird yesterday... because she was freaking out because of school and she can be kind of a bitch when it comes to that...
plus i'm writing an english grammar test on monday morning.. in 8 am... there are 80 pages of shit in the book but i don't know what should i learn
the main problem is definite article before proper nouns and commas... the MAIN problem with the main problem is that opposed to definite articles, commas ARE NOT EXPLAINED PROPERLY since the topic is kinda spread through the whole book -.-
oh and i'm going to see my dentist today... way to fucking go

I don't really have anything specific, I'm just lonely and dealing with the mean reds. And in a few hours I have to go fix a leak in frozen mud.

That sucks.
My boss seems to think that no one is ever sick for longer than 1 day at a time. It doesn't matter if you're like so sick you end up in the hospital. He expects you in after 1 day off.

got told by someone that doesn't work and blew 1200.00 that I should manage my money better. Kitchen sink is clogged. Roof leaks in the kitchen. And my fighting spirit( the one I use to wage my personal crusade against dickishness) has left me today. Fuck everything

The thing that gets me is that what gets through customs seems pretty random. I've had them just pass through some stuff clearly marked as quite expensive, and this gets a huge charge.

Maybe they've just tightened it up recently.

Usually my Boss is alright with people being sick. But he's suspicious because I actually wanted to take these couple of days off and he didn't let me due to many people already being on holiday now. Now I got sick and he probably thinks I just made it up. Worse even: There ain't shit to do. I am bored out of my mind. Finished everything I had to do by 2pm and am killing time until it's normal time to get off. Fuck that.

I've only shipped a few things out of country,...and each time I've lied about the value/what the person paid for the item (told the USPS it was a gift). I don't have much of a moral compass when it comes to that,....or at least,...it normally points to the recipient moreso than the gooberment said recipient lives in.
