Sounded like a ball, mate. It's Rag Week here in Ireland, which means kids, teenagers and young adults alike are out drinking, from 10am in the morning until they pass out. It's fucking sick.Ancient Astronaught wrote:Good mornin folks!!!! It's snowing, the coffees hot and I had a good weekend. So I'm actually in a good mood for the first time in a while (other then slicing my thumb open cutting bagels last night, my ancestors would be so upset...). We had a great show on Friday, we played 3rd out of 4 bands to over 300+ people and laid waste to their faces, we had other bands producers coming up to us saying their mind was blown, and the venues sound guy is all up on our nuts. It felt great. Then yesterday we had a photoshoot for an upcoming spread in BrightYoungThings for a show of theirs we are playing, and the photographer even shot some video for us and wants to do a full music video for us, and she said we were the most professional and funnest band she has ever worked with (as far as booking / communications, talent, and willingness to try crazy poses / scenes n stuff) check out her site: http://www.gokateshoot.com
tl;dr: this weekend was one of those weekends that reassures all your musical efforts are worth the sacrifices
That's my plan for my gigging board. Apart from the size benefits and less need for two power supplies, having just two or three dirt pedals, or even just one, would help maintain focus on the playing and the people listening.pelliott wrote:Personally, I'm big on the PT Jr. largely because it really limits me from putting 9 dirt pedals on my board and makes me more focus on playing and core sound than comparing all my fuzzes for 45 minutes

Half my pedals aren't plugged into anything which is a drag. At home I'd like to have them all powered and wired up so they are quick and easy to access instead of just sitting on the window sill.
All will run solo (powered by CIOKS DC10s) or I can incorporate each into my main board by plugging right into an empty channel of my True Bypass looper. Total overkill for a band/live situation but it's great for writing/jamming/recording. Also, like u mentioned, it keeps pedals off the shelf just collecting dust and gives me instant, easy access to almost everything I own. Almost....
This is one of the main reasons why I'll be picking up a true-bypass strip soon—for true bypassing abilities. I'm tired of tone suck when not using pedals.Holy Schnikes wrote:I could NEVER run my board without a true bypass loop switcher. It makes things so much easier, eliminates tons of tap dancing. I don't even have a fancy programable one, just simple loops/channels that I break up into various sections of pedals. Works like a charm and keeps my from having like 16 pedals crowding up my signal at all times.
I've said this already, but my goodness is that pure glory personified.Holy Schnikes wrote:Mark sent a pic of my etched Black Forest, all built and ready to roll. Should be here any day now. Meanwhile, my original Black Forest is making it's way to the other side of the world, headed for our very own Iommic Pope.
Congrats, mate!CaptainBoxman wrote:Only gone and finished my fucking dissertation haven't I?
This I did not know. Very impressive. I like a handy man.skullservant wrote:I had so much fun building that guitar
