Never, never, never screwdriver, for folks not in the know they are a disgusting neo-nazi punk band.
huh. I didn't know. Is that why Skreddy stopped supporting them?

It is unfortunate that a band like that has a name like that. I like screwdrivers in the tool and beverage department. Before I was educate-mostly just now- I imagined screwdriver band as a party rock band where everyone got hella drunk hence swervedriver nickname.

I feel bad about all of my posts now. But all I know about these bands is what I hear from you people. If you said Trent Reznor was working on the new Puff Daddy album or that Tony Iommi was going to do a one-off with A Perfect Circle, I'd believe it. Because there's just too many bands for me to keep up with. :(

I just seen screwdriver and wasn't sure in what context it was being used in relation to swervedriver, which is a great band with a recent release I've been digging lately.

I'm sure you meant no harm as most people don't know of screwdriver, but would just hate to see unfair assumptions that people around here enjoy skin head punk.

I'm only familar with the band due to the idiot nazi punk scene in my area that has nothing to offer but drunken bar fights and ridicule.

Anyways booooooooooo! Screwdriver, and "fuck off nazi punks" as one of my favorite patches says.

... and also Yay! Swervedriver for great tunez.

I can be calm and cool, but I'm seriously tired of Devi in general..
I was surprised at HOW you reacted..... though I'm not going to say I disagree with you. Not going to say that at all.

I have a Devi Hyperion (not Dwarfcraft). Wasn't impressed, certainly not a "muff killer" as it was billed (I have plenty of muffs), felt the sticker without so much as a clear coat to preserve it was cheap and I had it for about a year before putting it on my board for the sole purpose to try and bond with it.

I want to apologize for my reaction. I was having a bad day. :(

My apologies.

Yeah, I've never understood why the Hyperion was advertised as a "muff killer". I never thought it seemed Muff-like from the demos I've watched, but I've never tried one in person, so who knows.

I'm confused, what does Skreddy have to do with this discussion?

Also: it's Skrewdriver, not Screwdriver that was a neo-Nazi band (the term skinhead applies to Sharps, Trads and other ARA front re: non-racist).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skrewdriver

all though they didn't start out as a racist band (they record a Peel Session and the Singer for Madness was their roadie), they sure as hell became one.

In short: lumping all skinheads in with the Bonehead/White Pride factions is offensive to some people that are in no way racist.

Well I guess you just pee'd a lil further than me. Please excuse my spell checker as already stated, and my lack of awareness that there's a kinder, gentler skinhead somewhere I may have offended.

Atleast this is the devi thread, so all trash belongs here anyways. Sorry for steering the thread in this direction. Can't we just talk about slushies like the other devi thread?

:) yeah sry for my first post coming across all :omg: [I didn't see the spell check post prior to posting] but the Skinhead=white pride thing still bugs some people. it's like we watched our parents generation fight for ideals but we just lump it together and write everything off to the privilege of being old foggies. Wiki Skinhead the first Skins were Black dock workers in Jamaica.

....but what does Skreddy have to do with this stuff? Did he suffer some infraction?

in other news I just trolled the yokel news with a Slushie reference. http://www.mynews4.com/news/local/story ... p=Comments

If a skinhead gets offended but there's no Pakis to bash, does he really get offended?

A Trad, ARA, Sharp would be offended by the term 'Paki'. That's like jumping out of a wedding cake at Nans 80th b-day dressed in yr B-day suit and sporting the full staff.
