In general, I think I will agree with you, mainly because of the functionality. On the downside, the knobs are set too close together, and...horizontal layout... gain button placed on the side of the enclosure. Some weird design going on there. It's also very picky with power supplies.

Extra Glitchy is perfect for subtle glitching. For more ambient stuff, that pedal is absolutely perfect!

I actually like the EccoDrone the most when it's not glitching. Not a surprise, perhaps, but those long cascading, droneish repeats are beautiful.

Version 2 external chip is good for that too. The extra glitchy also seems to ramp to oscillation faster. They are all great. Thanks for putting the eccodrone in there!

why do you have the compressor on in front of the memory loss? arent they responsive to playing dynamics?

That's why I put it there, really. I wanted to show how consistent/inconsistent they were in their glitching "pattern". It was more of an comparison video than a demo. They're already, as you pointed out, very sensitive to playing dynamics, and when you start factoring in how time and boost/gain affects the glitching of the MLs on top of it all you start having problems really showing off said glitch "characteristics" with a very uneven dynamic loop. Having a slightly compressed signal just made the process of showing them off a little easier.

UC is totally right and the compressor would help a bunch.

If you want to hear comparisons without compression, they are out there.

Guitar volume/dynamics makes them shift from almost distortions to glitch/delay pretty easy.
