I got in about 45 minutes of floor hockey last night, slept well for the most part
pushing the water today

going over to the gym to shoot some buckets and run some sprints around 10pm tonight

only danger today was my wife's request for me to make meatballs
all things in moderation I guess

solid workout last night

Did all my ball handling drills and shooting drills
jumped rope

and ran a bunch of sprints

I play this game called one on one vs. jordan
15-20 foot jumpers with no more than three dribbles
If I make a shot I get a point If I miss Jordan gets 3
we play to 21 and he always schools me
I run sprints and do crunches and pushups based on how bad he beats me
I get a good workout and the pressure helps me shoot better

Finally getting back to working out. It's been tough with my work schedule, but I've told my girlfriend to harass me every day to work out no matter what time we've gotten home. So far she's doing it. She took up harassing me about my posture on her own as well lol.

Now that the muscle strain in my neck is pretty much back to normal, have started using one of my wife's exercise DVDs. Pretty easy as it has 15 minute segments for upper body, lower body, or abs, and is patterned with good pacing. I've been getting up a few minutes early and doing one section before I shower and go to work, and then either a different one at night or a run on the dreadmill.
Weirdly I've shifted from listening to heavy stoner rock to mellower post-rock when I run...Mogwai and Godspeed have been getting lots of play lately. Doesn't seem to make it go by any slower, and serves to actually relax me a little bit. Who knew.

A music change may be a good idea for me as well when I run.
Starting with my dog a few miles a day, lots of walking in between since I am still getting my legs under me.

I have also used my wifes 30 day shred. it isn't too bad

I bet the dog's nice to have for company, but even nicer that nobody's talking your ear off

sore and tired but feeling good
need more days like today
reasonable lunch

didn't pile on seconds so that is a plus

I kept dying at the arcade 'cause my arms are all wobbly today and couldn't handle the button mashing endurance test that is Raiden II.
YOU SEE WHAT EXERCISING GETS YOU?
IT GETS YOU SECOND PLACE IN THE TOP 10
I ONLY NEEDED 30,000 MORE POINTS

Been doing the one hundred pushup program, but I'm using the same numbers for pushups, squats, and crunches simultaneously. A couple weeks in, going well so far.

I started doing the insanity workout. I know it's probably just that I feel better about my fitness, but I feel like in 3 days I'm seeing at least some minor results. I'm also not eating a ton like I used to, and I'm trying to follow some minor rules of a keto diet despite only really being able to eat grains (because they're cheap).

I know that my legs are looking fucking nice in only 3 days though. I used to run/walk a LOT, so they were sort of like "Hey, I remember this moving thing!" and got toned up again pretty quickly.
