What happened to Strymon's last module?

Edit: just saw Echorec's post over in the NAMM thread...is this a new version of Strymon's last module?

Yeah I think this is the retail release of the thing they’ve had in development for the past 2 years or so

Mag-neato! I don’t know if it will be in the cards for me, but it looks super nice. I’d have to give up my DLD *AND something else to fit it. I do love me some tape warble... Guess I’ll be watching these videos.
I've been searchin' for the dolphins in the sea.

Huh, interesting. It looks nice, but I definitely don't have the money or space.

In other news, I got a SMR, Veils, and Warped Vinyl MKII today:

Quick patch modulating with the Batumi and the LFO from the Field Kit. Audio going through the Chronoblob and also a Black and White Video Scope:

this is what i meant about being afraid of pulling patches. i like these bits a lot, have recorded out the separate parts, but i get so scared of wanting some different variations and being stuuuuuuuck if i go on to something else.

terrifying.

That's part of the workflow. You can mitigate that by using a number of modules with memories so that parts of the structure and/or sound of patch can be recalled but if you want to be able to fully recall everything you're doing with a modular, you need something like a Nord Modular...

I actually do like removing all the cables from a patch, even one I really like (I try to record it first), it's a bit scary but very liberating.

Also, all these new fancy huge and expensive delay modules just make me want to put my trusty old DD-20 in front of my modular :).

No, it was supposed to be finished this month but my wife had unexpected surgery and has been stuck in bed for the last couple of weeks so I’ve had only minutes in the music room for over a month since family was here for the holidays before that. Hoping it’ll be finished by the end of next month. This isn’t really a full modular album though.... this one is a bit more experimental with modular, guitar, other instruments, field recordings, etc.

Gonna have a firesale soon. I think I'm going to sell about half of my Eurorack stuff (mostly modules I'm not using frequently enough to bother keeping) to fund some of the new goodies out of NAMM.

Also unrelated but semi-related: I'm thinking about getting a DSI Desktop synth because I'm so hamstrung for space at the moment. OB6 would be insane next to my P6 but REV2 and it's mod matrix is tempting as hell.

Also unrelated: rumors of a new Elektron box in a Digitakt enclosure called DigiTone. Methinks we're getting Monomachine back. :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy: :joy:

also, Sapel is FUN. finally sat down and played with it. getting the hang of the cutie.

it's Sapel, SCM and Euclidean Circle gates into the SSM going into BitBox stuff for most of the drums. Sapel shifting the Harmonaig through different voicings which are going to the E352 into LPGs and both sides of the Twin Waves.
