I think flowers shoukd be pronounced floe-urs. Like “that river is a real flower”. Imagine a band name that requires informing virtually everyone on the correct pronunciation, forever. There used to be a metal band called Zoetrope (it would say “pronounced E-trope” in their promotional material). ITS A GREEK WORD, OK

Let’s see more tongue twisters, unpronounceable and mispronounced names, and search engine nightmares (didn’t someone here have a band called We Buy Gold?)

i keep hearing yanks on podcasts say "foe-wurd" for "forward" and haven't been able to identify it with a consistent region/demographic. but not everybody does it!
