Flux bottle exploded.... see, usually you can squeeze them if they clog and it'll kinda force the clog out, right?

Nope. Exploded.

All over me, my desk, my laptop, the ceiling... Most of it got on my camera. Like all over it. Including the lens. Some of the switches are already getting sticky. I scrubbed it as good as I could, but I just can't get under the switches and stuff. >.<

To put this into perspective. This was rosin flux-- basically some solvents mixed with tree rosin. It does exactly what it sounds like it would.

My luck is getting so bad it's hilarious.

I need to write a 15 page scientific paper about "the evolution of music" and it's influences on modern culture with a specialization on the musicians themselves and their technology (read: PEDULZ AND GAS)... idk where to start and idk how to do it because it has to be based on "reliable" and/or scientific sources and I am not allowed to write my own theses and thoughts because it's a scientific paper... so I'm just sitting here killing time... gahh I hate that feeling.

I wrote almost that exact paper when I was in college. 20 pages on the evolution of music over the past 60 (I think it was 60?) years (focus on stylistic - genre - evolution). Start at a book store ("This is your Brain on Music", "Musicophilia", "The Rest is Noise", "What to Listen for in Music", "Hell Bent For Leather", "Music, Language, and the Brain"). Not all of that will be directly applicable (because none of it focuses on equipment), but it should provide a good background to build off of.

Make a thread of fun questions. Get 100 ILFers to answer. Boom, quality research that you can draw numbers from.

77% of musicians confirmed this theory yo. I has the data.

Also. Hendrix, Electro-phallus. I got that from a professor. Use it. Love it. Be it.

^ PM me list of questions. Bovine Musician's Data & Research Group (BoM-DaRG is what the insiders call us) will swing into action. I'll post the results in a downloadable PDF file.

I had a lot of bills this month, and bought expensive books for school today.

Got home, the insurance company had taken the twice-a-year fee from my account (half my already tight budget). I'm kinda fucked.

Looks like I'm quitting smoking when this pack runs out.

I'm just here to cover the mild irritation base.

My feet are cold, and I've misplaced my slippers.

Well, apparently my guitarist was sent to the hospital last night. Don't know for what, but they filled him full of meds and sent him home. Looks like no practice for a while...

There's. Flux. In. Everything.

I'm gonna have to buy some new tools.

I was able to save my camera... had to find a service manual to take it apart and clean up the insides. >.>
