Well, shit. I've wanted a Moog for a decade and a half. Saw a Subsequent 37 posted at a fair price on the other side of the country, and thought fuck it. I got the measuring tape out and it'll fit perfectly under my PC monitor and still leave space for my keyboard and mouse area. Glorious BWAAA sounds are coming my way.
Congrats! I fell down the synth hole and am selling off a bunch of stuff now but keeping the Sub37. It was a hard choice between that and the grandmother, but it's such a great all around synth and the presets just change the game.

Having presets was definitely a big selling point for me, as my time to play is currently limited to 30 minutes to an hour or so before bed. I'll still probably spend a lot of that time just tweaking, but at least I can easily go back to previous tweaks.
Currently reading the manual over and over while I wait for the seller to ship it. Big throwback to reading videogame manuals on the subway on the way home from the game store as a kid. It's a good vibe.

I have a Sub 37 and it's easily my favourite synth (among MicroKorg, Minibrute 2 and Novation Peak). The Sub 37 sees constant use in all of my projects since I got it in 2018. I still have the feeling I haven't even scratched the surface.

Different keybed, other potentiometer for the cutoff after a few failed in the Sub 37.

Hell yeah! I don't know much about it but it looks like a ton of machine for the money. Congratulations! Share your recordings when you make 'em!
So here's the first thing I recorded on the Tascam DP-24SD.
The chords presented themselves to me not too long ago and then a "phrase in the round" popped into my head.
Basically the second half of the sentence could be the start of a sentence such that the order could be either:
(first part) (second part)
or
(second part) (first part)
Or the repetitions could concatenate in an endless series.
So that became the framing device for the lyrics. I tried to
find sentences where the first half or the second half of the sentence could
also be it's opposite.
The fuzz used are a Basic Audio Gnarly and an IdiotBox Effects Power Drive.

Decades ago a friend "lent" me his Tascam PortaStudio for two months if I paid to get it serviced first.
The cost didn't turn out to be too bad. And at the time I didn't know of any places that rented them.
And the prices for even used ones was more than what I had (and I didn't want to take a pricey plunge
since I didn't know what I was doing).
Of course I've never really known what I'm doing when it comes to recording, EQing, mastering, etc.
I just muddle through as best as I can.
Hopefully this Tascam will help me muddle through at a more efficient pace with less navel-gazing and
hypercritical self-flagellation. Sometimes "good enough" feels better than nothing at all. Sometimes.
