acknowledge depression, and then move on despite it. it's just another of the conditions we're stuck with. that's the attitude i try to take about it. since September i've gotten from "i'll never do anything ever again" to "once this shit is sorted i'll find a job and move back to San Francisco and have a life." sometimes i'm going to be depressed, and that will make life suck, because that's the way my brain works. but that's not the sum and total of my existence, and it doesn't have to rule me. at least not 24/7.

I ruined two relationships because I feel numb due to recently starting taking antidepressants, and I couldn't reciprocate the feelings they had for me.

i wish antidepressants made me feel numb. but they only do that if i take them in quantities large enough to turn me into a total fucking zombie Stepford Wife, which i refuse to do with my psychiatrist's support.

Listening to Philipp Glass. Trying to turn my girl on to good music has given me a flash of Neue Musik. Classical stuff is our major meeting point music-wise.

My Fuzzrocious Broke Dick Peanut Gallery finally came in and it sounds amazing! Currently listening to Storm Corrosion, a collaboration between Mikael Akerfeldt and Steven Wilson...can't wait for this album to come out, I will actually buy a copy.
