with that size body and neck you'd probably have better luck doing it as a quinto...it'd be hard to cram six courses of strings heavy enough for bajo tuning onto a LP body or standard acoustic neck. there's definitely a point where paired strings get too close together to work well, particularly when one string of the pair is tuned low.

Ampeg 8x10 cab incoming.
I hope i won't regret it. Hauling that thing around will be a lifting experience...

Cool! It has wheels right? As long as you don’t play a lot of places with stairs.. but I’m sorry but to do the big and heavy thang you need big and heavy cabs… I’ve tied small light weight cabs with the “same” power handling and it just doesn’t punch you it the gut.. what head you using?

Snagged a couple of Gehirn modules from the BF sale; 4HP Clock divider and Korgan Harvest (MS20 filter).

Too cool for ModularGrid, apparently...

get yourself a proper hand truck with modern features and life with the Bass Fridge will be much easier.

Hadn't bought any pedz in a while, but my local GC had an influx of new stuff. Got a Matthews Effects The Traveler (my partner loves it), Matthews Effects The Conductor V2 (solved my tremolo chase), Boss CE-2W (finally broke down and got one), and a mint in box Boss HM-3 (perfect for drum machines).

I was doing good downsizing like I was supposed to. Then I got hot for a Dave Smith Tempest. The price was right and it had some features that will work nice for having my kids jam with me. Okay, I can get behind that!

Then, I start obsessing on EGC guitars and now I need to figure out how to reconcile the $ spend for the one that’s on its way.

It will be interesting to see how i manage that lifting experience...
My Amp is a Ampeg SVT Heritage Edition. Love that one. Right now i use it with a 2x12" cab. So this BF Deal was nice because both have matching silver fronts. And buying second hand with the driving around would have ended up with almost the same price - and a black front...
Yeah, the cab has two wheels and can be driven like a hand truck.

but it probably doesn't have handles in places that'll let you drag it up the flights of stairs you'll inevitable encounter, or have wheels large enough not to get stuck on a rock in the parking lot.

Did the Premier Guitar Mystery Stocking aka Box of Sadness again today because I apparently have a learning disability.

https://www.premierguitar.com/mystery-stocking-2024

I've gotten a couple decent pedals a couple years but often have gotten fugly straps or accessories of questionable utility. Total crap shoot. Frankly the Wren & Cuff Mystery Pedal is a better value if all their pedals are in your zone.

I have yet to play through one of those, I had a 90’s CL that I ran through a 2x12 a long time ago.. I got an super well taken care of 80’s svt2 this year though that I’m running info though a huge 70’s 4x12 Road cab (with new speakers) that weighs about the same as a svt8x10, the wheels save you, it takes 2 people to get it out of the van safely though

That's what they're there for. :thumb: You're right, a hand truck'd be better for rougher conditions though.

please understand that i say this as someone who used to help schlep one of those 70s Bassman cabinets with--i think--6 10s with weird directional baffling. i guess i was stronger then than i realized, because i also used to do that with my master-volume Twin Reverb. now i'd barely be able to get the Twin into the back of the car if i still had it. the Bassman cab had casters, but they were no help at all going up those four flights of stairs to the loft.
