Nice jag dude
Guitar prices here do suck pretty bad. I remember paying 2200 for my ibanez (which was the cheapest anywhere in the country
), and then within a week they dropped the RRP by $600 because of the exchange rate or something.
And now my main guitar is a Squier that cost 1/4 of that. Go figure

Yeah, I posted it in the GAS thread, but I just got this yesterday. First guitar. HOW DO PEOPLE PLAY WITH 9s?! They feel like razor wire. The guitar plays crazy nice though. Pulled it straight out of the box and it's set up nicely and everything.

Sweet, dude!

When I started playing guitar, I used, like, 13s. When I got my les Paul, it had 10s on it and just felt right. So I'm all 10s now, but I still could never use 9s.

Hey! Let's talk about serious thing. We're gonna talk about guitar, dude.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
Nice, tele deluxes are rad! And totally agree about the thin strings, I started off with 9s but gradually went up gauges and now anything thinner than 12s feels kinda toylike. Not necessarily in a BAD way, because sometimes bending crazy amounts is fun, but eh, I'm too used to the thick ones. When I can afford it I'll probably get a guitar set up with 10s just for the difference, but never 9s. 9s are horrible.

Looks to be a Teisco/Prestige/Guyatone guy. I'm seeing three and four pickup models, but no two pickups.

Re: Let's see your GUITAR!
I bought and resold a guitar that looked really similar to that a while ago. It was a Kawai.
The pickups did sound really cool; the only part of the guitar I regret selling. I thought about keeping them and throwing the rest of it in the trash, because it was beat to hell. The guy I bought if from on CL found it at a flea market. Old, 60's or 70's. That one you have seems to be in nice shape.

Nice. I'm thinking of getting a G5420T.
How well does that floating bridge behave? Never had one.

Teh intonation is not perfect and for better trem work youll need HQ bridge like Space Control bridge, this stock is low point of cheaper Gretsches

Yeah, it was too stupid cheap at a local shop and I have a bonus coming in, so the wife approved it. Definitely happy with my choice.
