Yamaha Reface CP incoming. Casually entered and forgotten giveaway panned out. With a battery pack I think I now have a new way to use my commuting time on the train. (It’s supposed to take AAAs, but not for long and reports are rechargeables of those don’t work great. We’ll see.)

Don't expect a good replica of the BOSS RV-3 or anything similar. The Behringer reverb pedals are really awful. I have had the DR600 that was accidentally sent to me (mixed up with a Vesta Fire DST Distortion) and I was happy when this one was out of our home again. It sounded just okay-ish, the Time knob had no or almost no effect in some modes and the enclosure always sounded as if it wanted to break any second every time that I stomped it. If people buy the DR600 to see if they want to upgrade for an RV-5, I believe they might think that the RV-5 stinks, only knowing the performance and sound of the Behringer.

I recently just bought a CT5 for the third time around.

First one I had was in 2016. Didn't click with it. Sold that off when people were paying absurd prices for them.
Bought a b-stock one earlier in the year, didnt end up loving how it looked, so sold it before I gave it a fair shot.
Saw they had had transparent turquoise ones now and had to have one. Have made a concerted effort to figure it out and its going well :thumb:

Got this weird seafoam green lp body off eBay.. I like it even if it’s a basket case…
Bridge angle is lefty.. bridge placement is.. odd… construction is odd.. it’s mahogany though..
I’m going to at the very least fill and redrill the bridge post holes..
plan is to make it a banjo sexto or quinto, with a 70s epiphone bolt on acoustic neck I have…

I just got mine back out for the first time in a while. Completely forgot how it works. Diving back in.

Simply just don't expect the digital pedals to be exact sounding clones. Behringer has copied all the analogue circuits to a somewhat successful degree (they are said to be noisier, but then again they are very cheap), but for sure they didn't have the permission to use the same BOSS/Roland ICs with the internally developed programs. In the case of the DR600 it was obvious that Behringer had to develop something on their own. They tried it ...

i've owned the SYB-5 copy and thought it sounded better than the Boss. especially because you could disable the filter sweep on the behringer

your syb-3 avatar looks so nice

but some of these behringer sound nice too

i just want to complete the behringer rainbow :!!!: okay

This is sick. The reface series seem so great (minus the organ one for me personally). What battery pack did you get?

Haven't yet. Still waiting patiently on the post, so I'm probably gonna try commuting with it with normal batteries before committing to a battery pack. Saw a how-to I think on Reddit with product links; I think the pack is generally non-critical, but the cable solution that they had come up with allows you to operate the Reface and charge the pack at the same time and I'm not sure if there's anything needed in the pack for that to work.

If the footswitches of your model tend to have intermittent performance, carefully open the switches and treat the insides with a good portion of tuner spray. Desoldering the footswitches is a pain in the arse. I might not be the most perfect solder iron user, but I have soldered often enough in my life to say that these tiny footswitch boards with the used solder really, really suck.

And be careful with the tiny wires of the little switch when disassembling/reassembling the pedal. I have had to resolder some of these as well in the past.
