I gotta agree with this post whole heartedly! I have a callaham bridge with no pickup cutout on my Dirge Telemaster and I love it. The craftsmanship is top notch and it does help mellow out a tele and add sustain / resonance. Definitely a worthwhile purchase, all though not the cheapest. As far as the saddles for some reason on all three of my tele-bridged guitars with the three saddle setup I've ended up using compensated saddles on the outside and a straight saddle in the middle. I could never get the G + D strings both intonated with a compensated saddle, but I threw straight saddles on them on a whim and BAM everything intonated perfectly.

I totally forgot how much the Phat Cat owns. It's got a more defined midrange than the EGC, so it's been nice doing one guitar track with the Obstructures, then one with the Jag. I totally dig this setup now on the Jag. Had a re-bonding experience recording with it yesterday.
It's a little funky going from an arched radius fretboard on the jag to a flat radius on the Obstructures, but they are both incredibly different beasts in their own right. I love them both!
As far as the EGC pickup goes, I'll have to get you that router for sure. Maybe once you've got the cavity cleared out you can get some threaded T nuts so that you could plant them into the body of the bass so that it is reinforced when the screw is driven in the back- I bet that would level off the screws too if they would be slightly risen up when drilled in!

Let me introduce my 90 LP Custom...
I love her but not playing her that much, I guess I'm a single coil guy...
It's a one piece body, all original except the knobs...I've swapped the translucent black ones for those old style gold ones...
Now I'm happy.

New bridge pickup day!
Actually put in myself and only screwed up the pickup cover so it just has to look silly (but I kind of like it for some reason
) until the new strings need changed and I can out new covers on.

Picked her up really cheap. 490 AUD. That's pretty much the best deal ever. Ha.
Very nice sounds. I'm thinking of replacing the pickups, but then I still really like the sound of them atm. So I'm not sure. I guess I can get the pickups and if I don't like them, swap them back. haha.
