I want one too.

Yes, you really do. This was my board (err, top of amp) for when my band recorded a week ago.

I think you guys need some more acoustic guitars. :p

Doing some overhaulin', hence the mess.

Very nice.

This is a board that I could definately get down with.

Me too! If I could bring along my El Cap I would be content with never asking for anything new again.

edit: well that last part is kinda unrealistic, but with all those knobs I'd be too busy tweaking instead of hanging out on here dreamin' and droolin'.

edit #2: well at least for a little while. ;)

edit #3: maybe a day or two.

I'd have to throw my El Cap in there too. I looove my El Cap.

Grabber and Ripper are both pretty kick ass basses with the proper amp settings. My successor (one of the many) used one in an old band of mine, like, ten years ago. The bass was actually bought for the band from her when she moved on and followed her successful career elsewhere, just because it sounded so bad ass with the bands Vox AC-50.

Hope the acoustic guitars were recorded with the same settings or with even a bit more gain :animal:  the nonstop über feedback squeels!

There was acoustic on the recording, and it went into both a DI and a Marshall. Interesting mix, really. :thumb:

The racks upon racks of acoustic guitars are owned by our friend Michael, who recorded us. He also does these sick sessions with various groups that happen to be in Denton, whether they be on tour or local acts. Check it out.

Looks like the music scene is pretty healthy down your way. True Widow around there too, Dallas?

Years ago, this band Mouth Of The Architect stayed at our house while on tour and we were talking about they're favorite city, out of all cities they'd been through. It was Denton that held a special place in their heart!

These live sessions are great. I've been listening to the bands on here all morning! :thumb:

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed them. Yeah, the music scene down here is amazing. There's something going on every night of the week. The only problem is that it sets the bar kinda high, so you can't get away with sucking. Makes it difficult for types like me. Can't say I've listened to True Widow, but I've heard of them. I'll have to check 'em out.

tl;dr Denton rules.

Current pedalboard situation (taking pictures of this instead of working, natch. Should go back to work.)
Image
(yes, it is very, very messy. We have cats that like to sleep on the board. I've stopped being neurotic about vacuuming it. that's an EQD Ghost Echo in the upper left, the sun washed it out.)
And the shelf of neglected pedals in my practice space: (plus the view from where I practice)

Sounds great!! The St.L local scene is pretty stagnant and the bar it set very, very low. That's not to say we don't have good bands, there's quite a few, just no where near a quality "every night of the week" kind of thing, sadly.

Count your blessings, growing up in a cool city/metro area with a thriving music/art community is a god send.

I sure am constantly counting my blessings. If you're ever in the area, I'll show you why.
