Used a MIDI CPU from highlyliquid.com. As I have it set up right now, just one octave worth of single notes, it was extremely straightforward. I might add octave switching or some harmony modes in the future which will require messing with the firmware, but I decided I should see how effectively I can actually play the thing before sinking more time into it.

So far so good. I made sure to draw out the spacing first and confirm I could actually hit each note precisely enough. No pressure sensitivity obviously, but I don't think I'd really be coordinated enough to take advantage of that anyway. We'll see if they hold up.

Nice. I am setting mine up as a CC controller, but it could also be setup for notes. 8 arcade buttons, 14 knobs, 2 expression inputs, 2 sustain pedal inputs. Just need to find the right tool to drill the holes for the arcade buttons and do the wiring. It's awesome how easy these microcontrollers are to setup and use!

Made myself a thing this weekend;




Relay based stereo true bypass switcher so that when I'm running a split octave down guitar/bass setup I can switch two pedals in different signal paths simultaneously.

It could also be used to switch two pedals in the same signal path that aren't next to each other in the signal chain so you could activate a reverb before dirt and a delay after dirt with one switch.

And best of all, after initial testing, it's completely pop/click free
