I've been happy with my Fryette Memphis for over two years now. It's been my go to amp and eventually made me sell my Soldano. I do miss that amp, but I know if I still had it then it would be taking the back seat to my Fryette.

My Dunwich is basically a highly tweaked, uncompromising Marshall circuit with two EL84's running at around 15 watts. I don't think Nick will know the official rating until he's finished with the design. The amp will have two separate tone stacks but only one channel. It'll have an FMV (Fender/Marshall/Vox) and a Baxandall/James tone stack. These can be switched between on the amp (I can't remember whether we had this action footswitch-able or not) and can function at the same time. They can also be removed entirely from the circuit, which can accessed via a footswitch, and will act as a boost. There will then be switches for Tight/Fat and Dark/Bright. This basically means that a JCM800 Bright/JCM800 Dark cab be procured, or a Super Lead/Super Bass, with many variations in between, and a Matamp GT120. So for instance, if I wanted a bright OR120/GT120 sound, I'd select the Fat setting, EQ2 (Bax) and knock the Bright/Dark switch to Bright. Or if I wanted a dark Super Bass sound with a FMV tone stack, I would select EQ1 (FMV), Fat from the Tight/Fat switch, and the Dark selector. Any of these can be switched between to create your own variations on the Matamp/Orange/GT120/OR120/Marshall JCM800/Super Lead/Super Bass circuits. The amp will also have two master volumes, both pre and post-phase inverter master volume.

Just picked up this 212 at the weekend from the Matamp factory in Yorkshire. Such a great day and I know I'll be back for more in future. I ended up going for Celestion Hot 100 speakers too. Sound crisp and clean until they break up, and then they sound real heavy.

They fully revoiced my 1224 Mk I as well, and it's now stiffer, cleaner, has greater output and is more cutting. I am happy!

I think this is the first time I've read the exact specs for your amp. Sounds like it's going to be the cat's pajamas.

Amps and cabs are the same, but I added a Xerograph Deluxe to my board. Shit sounds pretty gnarly, in a good way. Small Stone is temporarily off the board.

I've got a radial ABY in the mail to replace the chorus which I'm only using to split the signal.



the signal runs through the doctor q and ds 1 into the acoustic head, and through the big bottom and muff clone into the ampeg head. Each is running into a 2x15.

I don't gig or have a band at the moment, so this is all I really need. It actually sounds really good and gets pretty loud. I switch out the pedals a lot depending on my mood. For example, I took out the delay pedal and sometimes use a wah, you get the idea.
