Would have been a totally opportune moment to start a conversation, but I couldn't tell if it was a small boy until I passed and looked from the other side, which was down a flight of stairs

& after I made my conformation she skated away. Balls.
So I walked around more being all "fuck, I shouldn't have passed that up, etc." and eventually decided to stop in my school's art building. Went to the xylophone room and someone from the jazz group left their kit in there. I jammed out on that fucker for over an hour, just pounding and trying to coordinate my limbs as best I could. So much fun. Right leg is sore from pumping out bass hits but I could totally do this as a form of exercise. Might have to piece together a small kit and find a practice space

had this same exp cept she gave me the stink eye while skating by

there was one redeeming quality to this horrible, terrible, no-good day (did i even mention that the torrential rains we've been having have made the septic system back up?)...my friend Jane came over for dinner, so i had to clean up the house and make food and so now the house is halfway nice, the kitchen cleaned up, i have clean clothes and towels washed and the bed made with clean sheets and stuff. PLUS there's leftovers enough for me to eat well into next week. and i got to see a friendly face.
i don't know what i'm gonna do when i wake up tomorrow and my kitty isn't there, though.

Did some pedal accounting and it turns out my selling off went better than expected! I've got some cool new things and technically haven't spent any money on pedals this year! Makes me feel less guilty about always buying pedals when there's stuff I should save for.

jammed/explored music with my friend who wants to play... wait for it... AFROBEAT SURF ROCK yesterday. OH MY GOD. I'M SO EXCITED. he's not particularly good at any instrument but he is very good at digital music shit. i guess that is an instrument. we wrote some shit i'm going to flesh out later and give to him for some good layered drum treatment. wish it wasn't so late in the year, because this is definitely going somewhere great.

My dad is 60.
We got kicked out of a parking garage today for skateboarding down the ramps.
I'm grateful for this.

After three weeks living with them in my two-room appartment, my parents are finally on their way back to Portugal. It was much nicer than I expected, but still I am glad to be alone again.

This is it - Kenny Loggins
Family Affair - Sly & the Family Stone
Sex Machine - James Brown
And if you're feeling ultra-raunchy, just pop in a Betty Davis album. Any one will do.

I am so happy that my undergrad in psychology lead me to peruse counseling, because right now I fucking hate psychology as a major.
I'm finishing data collection in my lab right now I don't know how I put up with not liking lab work or psych classes for so long.
I'm probably omitting all the interesting things I learned, but either way, I'm soooo happy my undergraduate is almost over.
Here's to hoping graduate school is better
