I know this song is "sad," but every time I hear it I'm always content.

I feel like dancing and being happy to a lot of "sad" songs so I don't feel that weird about it, but it's good to know others can feel the same.

I love spending days with Kate. We hung around at my place for a while, then went across town to get lunch, then hung out at the mall for a few and had frozen yogurt.
I could spend every day for the rest of my life doing stuff like that with her, and I'd be a very happy man.

That album is so fantastic. I put on "Never Meant" and ended up listening to the whole thing.

Hooray! The bassist is suddenly free Sunday so now we can practice. That means I need to finish up my two songs so we can learn them.

having seemingly begun to pull out of the cyclical depression that's been keeping me from doing anything for weeks, i invited my friend Jane to come over for dinner this weekend. this inherently requires me to clean up the house and stuff so things are presentable for her to come over, and i've been able to keep at it off and on for hours. i'm also making spaghetti sauce, and the house smells utterly delicious

i feel downright functional. now to noodle around on the Tele for a bit with
World's Dumbest on telly in the background while the sauce cooks down
