From what I've noticed, parrying seems harder.

Finally figured out the Pursuer's pattern and killed him. I didn't try parrying him - tbh I figured his weapon was too big to do that. It's not always clear what can be parried and what can't.

All is now well in my game universe.

i7-4770k in the living room for video games/DAW/app development, and my old venerable 3.9 OC'd Phenom II 965 is now powering a 42" HDTV as a hell of a media server and controller-based games to play in bed.

Finally found a group for the TF campaign, not sure if i'm disappointed. It's just like playing a regular game with a radio opera in the background.

Tonight I've been playing Team Fortress 2.
I'm not very good at it, but it's really fun.
If any of you dudes ever want to pay together, that would be cool.

Parrying in Dark Souls 2 is definitely more of a challenge. I don't think I've successfully pulled one off. I love the shield bash, though...many pvp sessions have been won with that

Played DS2 for half an hour. Couldn't figure out how to leave things betwixt. Went back to Don't Starve. >_<

Played ~12 hours worth of DkS2 over the weekend. Started over once and found a bunch of stuff I'd missed in the first few areas. So far it feels like FromSoft thought of everything - this is Dark Souls, but more. Better. Exactly what I wanted.

Small gripes:

1. Needing to go back to town to level up. The extra warp-there-warp-back step is irritating.

2. Invasions seem very rare. This might be because the ratio of noobs to griefers is very skewed at the moment but I've only been invaded once. The threat other players present is a key part of the Souls experience, IMO.

I've still never been invaded. I'm really early in the game still though. I've restarted twice and I think my current playthrough is only like 6hrs in (and that includes a lot of pointless running around and soul farming because OCD :idk: )

There's alot more NPC invasions. I don't think I've been invaded by a real player at all. Kinda sucks. I'm gonna start another playthrough soon.
