I'm currently trying to put off another purchase until my birthday in September - what is tempting me is a Noventa JM in red (3 P90s).

I love this thread. I'm currently drinking so that I can pull the trigger on snagging something I saw earlier that is a bit more than I wanted to spend, but I've been looking for.

it happens. a week ago I got to drinking and making reverb offers and ended up with this:

...and I don't think I ever shared this fun little toy I picked up

this is the way.

I don’t want to offend, but that maybe doesn’t sound the healthiest. Are you doing ok?

I think I watch that YouTube Video probably 50 times for the Hair of the Dog because it made me laugh so damn hard.

Aen’s videos were the best! I miss all my old Dwarfcrafts; I never would have sold them had I known they weren’t going to be around forever

yeah gila-crisis - that's a good one -it's not a do-all box, but i really like it for what it does do, and i feel like it combines well with some of the other ones out there - i've had fun combining it w/ Bakvendt :snax:

i feel the same. a bunch of dwarfcraft stuff keeps coming up for sale locally but never at the right time for me. regret selling my eau claire thunder many years ago.

Got a mid-'80s Yamaha R1000 rack reverb in the mail today! 12-bit, 4 presets and 3-band parametric EQ. I'm planning on making a small rack setup for vocals, synths and misc. preferably with all Yamaha units from this era. Trying to keep myself from pouncing on an SPX90 as well right now.

I'll finish cleaning up this one later (it was kinda dirty) and confirm it works, then maybe post it in the rackmount thread.

Well, I found this handy site https://yamahablackboxes.com/#effects-racks so basically anything in that rack section? For instance the GC2020 comp/limiter and a GEP50 or SPX 50D/90/90 II.

I was thinking initially just a 3-unit Yamaha rack, but I might go even further than that. I also kinda want things like a Furman power conditioner, rack mixer and a decent mic pre/8-input USB audio interface eventually.

oh yeah. Very much appreciate the thought though. That post was a bit tounge in cheek...I recently got a nice bonus at work and was planning to spend some $$$ on gear non-sense. That night was the last night of the sale I took advantage of. I went a little silly, but don't worry, the family will be fed and the mortgage will be paid. But yeah...I should probably not drink at all since alcohol will kill ya...but don't worry, I'm not burying any problems (at least not consciously) with alcohol and my GAS issues. Cheers everyone!

Keep watching Aen's vids...maybe some day he'll get back into making these amazing boxes

On the next note on GAS induced nonsense :joy:

I feel a little better with more focused playing and I paid my next months lesson block with my guitar teacher and also (snuck in ) a Fuzzlord FM-7. I am a big fan of Jason's videos and wanted to try a lot of his stuff for a bit however when it comes to Fuzz I have a lot of loves already. I have also hear that EQ pedals are really useful so I am excited to try it as its my first and not a fuzz or delay ( I know I will say I will stop buying them but I can't)

My guitar gas is better - I am just going to find the right instrument that calls to me and not worry about what configuration it is.
