Last night's session. Monotron is our new friend.

I got this smaller toy before the big brother gets delivered next week.

Oops, I did it again.

Going to have to clear out some space in my head for Patch Memory.

I have ZERO interest in the ribbon or touch surface. I would have preferred the standard voyager, for the presets and MIDI, but I'll just have to work smarter. Got a pretty insane deal I couldnt pass up. (plus since I spent just under 2/3 of my voyager budget, i won't catch any shit for buying the expansion module or a CP-251)

The microkorg for $220, or if that doesn't work out... Another one for $285.
Good or bad idea? I have no previous synth/keyboard/piano experience.
Looking to start.

microkorg isn't too bad to start with, honestly, but the stock sounds are terrrrrrrrrrible. I wouldn't pay over $200 for one, unless it came with some kind of bag/case. I wouldn't buy one, really... though.
ALSO - I might be joining this thread in a BIG WAY soon. ERRRRRFFFFGGHGHHGHGHGHFGHFHFHHGHGH

Got this off of CL yesterday for $280. It's a liitttle bit more than I would pay for the unit on its own, buUUUUuuut, the synth is in fantastic shape and is about as old as I am. It came with a foot pedal, manual, 3 cartidges of extra sounds, and about a dozen cassette tapes of back up data. Pretty cool deal. The sounds on it were pretty boring, but I've already begun to edit and jack up the sounds.
Hopefully, I can get it to sound like this soon:

See above!

.
But, also, with the MicroKorg, you can dump/add patches via pc and midi, so you can get some waaaaaaaaaaaaay better patches via THE WEB. Pretty cool! They're not too bad, really. I'm being too harsh - most stock sounds are shit anyways.
