FTFY
Some people do talk about this, TBH. Jack White among them

I know what you mean, but I don't think you know what I mean.
Do you think collective ownership of a brand would work? How would you split the royalties? How would you pay the builders or restocking parts? Who'd do the R&D? Who'd be responsible for PR, graphic designs... In the end, no one would see any real money, which means that no one would build because there would be nothing to build, nothing to build from and no one would do charity building for the good feeling
You just have to still think about the business side of things.
So - I mean that instead of collectively owning a band that wouldn't be able to function, I'd rather see the band still functioning under someone who makes it happen.
Ideally, yes, Mr. and Mrs. Dwarfcraft fit the bill. But at what cost to them? They are now balls deep in bullshit they don't deserve.
I ambiguously mentioned that there was a lot of talent, knowledge and connections here. Maybe someone or a group of someones is up to the task.

I don't listen to grandpa music. I just skimmed wikipedia because I forgot Bobby Johnson's name. And then its like.....there had to be someone before Bertie, Son came up. The rest is assumptions and junk. I don't know what I'm saying most of the time.
Point is, history ain't the big sell. Who did it first doesn't really matter. The first toilet paper was rough. Assholes around the world Charmin Ultra is
much better than that vintage junk.
