my Instant Lo-fi Junky has been sitting at the Charlottesville PO since the 15th. i'm starting to get irritable. the front-end board never got settled and will be changing again. i mentioned that the Acoustic Simulator is out due to intermittent digi-noise issues. the Reverb seller graciously approved a return on the ROYGBIV so the modulation module position is up for grabs again, and i'm thinking about the Champion Leccy Fettle Boost as an upgrade from the Hi 5 which i've been using to break down the signal a wee bit by maxing the gain, resulting in an unclean clean boost that would be haram on TGP. the Fettle Boost has a very wide range that gets up into distortion territory when cranked. but i 'm kind of bummed because i can't afford the upgrades till some funds come in. and i was really enjoying the fx loop on the Attack Decay...it puts the effects between the pluck detect and the envelope section, and when you run fuzz and modulation in the loop it comes rolling in like a wave with the envelope. it's very dramatic and quite beautiful, but i had to disable it due to noise issues with the ROYGBIV.

Feber arrived and I re-arranged my pedalboard for it. Probably played for an hour but I already love it. Such a unique blend of sounds available. Didn't dig into the manual at all but have a decent understanding of what's going on. The strange sounds are the best I've heard from one device, mainly because it feels like you can explore the entire world between the flange, trem, phaser, and ring mod sounds pretty easily. I'm extremely curious to see what the rest of their lineup does because this was an atypical purchase for me but incredibly inspiring even after an hour. I already had Fabrikat interest from a previous suggestion but I might try some of their other offerings.

The Pladask stuff is all top notch. Fabrikat and Draume are two of my favourite pedals.

Draume is nice. I've not owned but I've tried the Taken and it sounded fantastic.
...my GAS for a 7 string is out of control. halp.

I like my Fabrikat a lot too.
I did have an idea of a pedal I'd like to get this year, but I've forgotten what it was, so it might not be that important.
My free Wurhm t-shirt arrived today, very cool if you like big scary worms with hundreds of teeth, and who doesn't ?

yeah, pretty sure it's just a hangover from the heavy-handed branding maneuvering involving Tom Cram's company - which he moved on (like his new company name mo betta anyway myself) - but bad karma/bad taste in people's mouth/irksome font fail + folks didn't get what it really was - thought it was a stripped down algorithmic delay when it's really a maxx'd out old skool digi.

i think it sounds beautiful and is a super solid deal at these low prices of late....

sweet score

Take spare guitar, take set of 7 strings, set up the guitar for the low 6, keep the high E as a spare for your normie guitar. See if the need for the full range all at the same time fizzles.

Oh, I already have a guitar set up for baritone and I love the low range and want the extra HIGH range. So, there is more than zero thought that's gone into it

Plus this particular "baritone" is actually a bass vi and the 30" scale is too tough to play in a guitar-y way. So I'm definitely flipping that for either a 7 or a baritone, and 7 seems fun.
