Les Pauls Still have that pickup selector in the worst possible spot. One of many reasons I am an SG man. (well, except with this band cause no one makes an SG Baritone)

That is dope, and about the space echo. I'm really thinking about it but at the same time I can only imagine myself buying locally as a finicky machine like that could really kill me in the end.new05002 wrote:oh fuck yea i agree.
I built a clone of a Green era Matamp verb

It is a nice unit, i love the simplicity of it. I would love an amp head that would be laid out like that...3 or 4 big knobs...2 inputs (hi/lo) purely simplicity...the green helps too!new05002 wrote:yea it was an extremely pretty looking reverb unitjwar wrote: Dude. That's fucking hot.
Droneforbreakfast wrote:i'm cool with someone saying my gear sounds like shit. like good shit, more like it. there's a true virtue in those sorts of sounds, like they're filthy but they hit hard and you can't stray for it, there's an hypnotic quality to a dense, fuzzy, at times even questionable sound.
also, in the end, we're mostly all bearded dudes who spend way too much money buying shitty amps and fuzz pedals and gear in general that nobody wants, to make loud and filthy music nobody wants to hear, and we're ok with that. that's why i love you guys and this place in general.
This always made me cringe slightly as well. Treble is great as it makes your sound clearer and more defined, but it doesn't make me feeeeeel anything. I want tingles, and low-end and midrange is what makes me tingle.fallen wrote:I've been watching lots of those rig reviews lately on YouTube and it's crazy how all of the older guys have the treble and presence controls on their amps cranked.
Same. 80's Silverburst Les Paul Custom is a dream guitar.samzadgan wrote:that is one beautiful guitar.pelliott wrote:Holy Schnikes wrote:
there are a lot great looking guitars in the world, but a nice Custom LP just has it all i think...personally if i had the money, i would get a vintage Silverburst Custom LP.

Also, I'm in New York for a week. Eating delicious shit and going to museums and seeing old friends. Stoked.
