I'm just generally content with life in general. Today I got some acknowledgement from one of my coworkers for the amount of work I do and that felt good. I mean I know I make life easy on the guy for the shifts he has to work on my days off (basically doing the same job as me),...but the fact that he recognizes and appreciates it means a lot to me.

Haven't had a cigarette since the wednesday before last.

Using the money I've saved to go see Mastodon & Opeth.

Taking a quick online quiz for my mythology class reminded me of Franz Ferdinand's third album.

So I went out and partied my face off, Andrew W.K. style, on Saturday. Had a wonderful time. It was raining. I ended up covered in mud and in bed with two chicks. Victory. Winsauce.

However, the next morning, I realized that I didn't have my ipod. Shit. Turns out I'd dropped it outside, where we were partying, in the rain. Sadface.

Found it, and it was DOA. Tears were spent. Souls were crushed.

Googled the bag of rice trick. Incredibly skeptical, I figured I'd try it. Sealed that shit up on Sunday evening. Just pulled the 'pod out today and plugged it into my Ipod dock-y thing...

AND IT FUCKING WORKS!

well, that's just a tone party, innit? i particularly enjoy the subtle touches, like the swirly modulated guitars at 1:30. i mean it very much as a compliment that it seems like the track is longer than 4 minutes because there's so much music going on.

well it might sound more complex than it really is thanks, i appreciate it
but yeah... there's a lot of stuff happening when i think about it now the live recreation shan't be a problem though

thanks! drums - as usually... programmed, mounted to a VSTi, EQ'd, compressed... it's no rocket science, although it took me three years to get to this point
