In other news, I've been informed that one absolutely smoldering redhead is not a fan. Egads.

I know, right? My half actually got here Sunday, according to delivery confirmation. My school's mail service is just ridiculously slow at processing packages.

So today was spent using a middleman to get stuff like the ring and expensive gifts back from my (ex-)fiancée. I doubt anyone cares, but I have to write it somewhere or else I'll explode.

I spent the rest of my free time today calling friends I have neglected and telling them that I am sorry for leaving them in the dust in pursuit of a relationship that turned pretty parasitic near the end. Many emotions were spent and I feel even more empty than before.

I feel so alone.

Find someone you can be close to. You don't have to spill your guts or put everything into words, just spending time with someone will help.
Hang in there, man. It sounds like it's an emotional battlefield inside you right now, but it will be sorted out in time.

in other grumpage, the acoustic guitar i was so looking forward to arriving turned out to be cheapish, poorly finished, and to have three, count 'em, three cracks in the top. needless to say it's going back ASAP. phooey. :mope:

MOTHERFUCKER

for over a month i've been trying to arrange something with this funk band trying to find a guitarist in the city where i study. There was a two week gap between emails, but i tried to don't mind and just try to work something out even though his communication skills are worse than of a standard issue puppy

the guy knew very well i'm not from here btw

IT TOOK HIM A FUCKING MONTH TO TELL ME HE'S IN TOWN ONLY FOR WEEKENDS - and i'm NOT in town only for weekends

i wasted my time and HOPE for some son of a bitch like this :( this day is not getting any better

I know it's not much help, but we are here for you. Do what dubk said, call someone up, go somewhere and be with people that care and know how to treat you. If all else fails, go see your family and argue with them. It helps. Do whatever you need to do, right now you are in a situation where all can be excused, it is a state of utmost crisis. My dad's advice when my wife left me proved invaluable: regular exercise! Go jogging or something. It will help you to stay in a productive, positive state of mind.

On the upside I see that you already started to focus on the bad things in your relation. Well done, continue. It's just a matter of soldiering on right now. Write down your feelings - in a diary, emails to friends, here, whatever, but it helps to write shit down because you can grasp it then.

If by any chance you are a rich person that can afford flights, I invite you to crash on my couch in the middle of Cologne. We got a couple of very nice bars in the neighborhood. And we can make some evil-ass noise in my practice room.

It happens. My ego's died enough that I can deal with that. Still going to see her semi-regularly, just not in a happy happy fun times capacity (for the foreseeable future: never say die).

She's still gorgeous, and I still have eyes. :thumb:
