I'm pretty sure most people had generally good reviews for Dishonored
I just found that the AI was a little too predictable for a game designed for sneaking and it didn't really bring anything new to the table
I was more-or-less expecting a steampunk Hitman and I think my expectations might have been too high
So if I go back and play it now I would probably enjoy it a little more

Only played a little bit, but if you like Thief and general Stealthy games I'd support it. Just expect it to be about sneaking and looting, perfect.
4 Stars as of right now.
EDIT:
Also, turn off the Music - makes the atmosphere so much better.
Have you played Dishonored? How do they compare?
It looks like essentially the same game to me and I was super disappointed by Dishonored.
I may need to give it another try though, I never even beat it the first time around

I've beaten it atleast 5 times.
Thief is a little more traditional especially in it's setting (if anyone is familiar with the RPG 'Thieves World') unlike Dishonored which was a mash of different things together - with magic. Thief still has the same items and the core gameplay is still there as the originals. Though unlike in Dishonored were you had atleast 5 different ways to infiltrate a building, you have about 3 different ways here. The game does give you the option to hide assist prompts and turns off different abilities so you can have a little less of a linear feel. I own and have played the originals - a lot and nothing is going to be the same.
The game has a lot of detail to it and heart in it which kind of sucks because people are doing the "Erh, it's not as good as the originals" b/s. In this industry, you just need to support anything similar to what you like if you want any hope of seeing anything like it again.
It's not perfect, but it's no where near as bad as what the Hivemind is giving it. I don't get 'Gamers', rationalism isn't their strong point.

Dishonored was easily one of my favorite games that I've played in the last couple of years, I had a lot of fun with it. Definitely give it a shot

Rationalism isn't anyone's strong point really, but yeah the gaming community as a whole is incredibly dumb.
On the dishonoured front, I thought it was pretty fun. Nothing revolutionary, but it was fun to play through once, and I might play it again.

Original Thief is one of my favorite computer games ever. I still have the cd somewhere. That and Grim Fandango.

Imma start playing OG thief as soon as I finish trine 2 (probs tonight), I've got the first 3 from GOG cos I heard they were good ages ago and with all the hype about the latest thief I feel like playing them.

Continuing my Armored Core kick, I believe that I've deciphered these Engrishy lyrics.

HEY KID
DON'T "YOLO" ME, DUMBASS
COME ALONG, WON'T BE LONG
IT WAS FROZEN, BUT
IT'S DONE NOW
A PIZZA LIKE THIS IS HOW WE ROLL

If Armored Core 2 had played like the original Zone of the Enders I would've never been able to remove myself from my PS2.

I know what you mean. Did you ever play Omega Boost? It's a PS1 game that handles like ZOE. Lock-on system and everything. Sadly, you still can't customize your mech.
But dude, AC2 is BUTT compared to AC3. I haven't played AC5 or Verdict Day, but AC4 and its sequel For Answer are different from the rest of the series in that their pace is way faster. There's a heavy emphasis on flight and dodging a million fucking things that will wreck you if they land a hit. That one mission where you have to close in on a gigantic fortress while dodging lasers that are blowing up buildings next to you is the shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. I wanna get a PS3 and replay it...
Also now I wanna play Shenmue 2. HEY KID, WANNA PLAY A GAME OF LUCKY HIT?!

No, I haven't played Omega Boost. Shenmue was rad. Dreamcast was a cool system.
Also, this has forever changed my two weeks of waiting.

I saw that the other day. Hilarious. I just called my local Gamestop and midnight release for Dark Souls II confirmed! Work on 3/11 is probably gonna suck...if I even make it that day.
