weird and a bit of a bummer that this is limited to Pixel phones? (i mean couldn't it really be for all Android phones at least?) still pretty cool to have a pocket operator on your phone if you're in that ecosystem:
also, Jack White's got something similarly unobtainable and non-embeddable - a new custom shop Jazzmaster with what sounds like a quantized pitch shifter built in:
Will I be a hipster chode if I just stick with my Gen Loss V2 because I can’t be arsed to extract the highest resale before locking in an order on the new one?
(Here is the test of how their direct sale model works—you wonder if they can match user demand better without weird inefficiencies in supplying dealers.)

No, not at all. If I had a V1 or a V2 I'd probably just sit this one out...however, I was a dummy and sold my V1 thinking I'd be able to pretty easily pick one up again in the future...and then he shut down Cooper FX and suddenly those things are worth bazillions.
It will be interesting to see, but I have faith that they're a pretty put-together organization and can manage it. We will see I suppose.

Starting to trickle out early(?) there are some social posts and store listings for the Moog Mavis, a “kit” of a similar sort to the now-retired Werkstatt, with some extras I haven’t really grasped aside from wave folding. $349.
