$140 for the keyed model, $100 for the module. They're fairly expensive, even for small items...ex: Digitakt is $50, which to me is quite a lot for a few ounces of plastic.

Fowl Sound / Primitive Man collaboration comes out tomorrow. It is a bass distortion with a foot switchable drone circuit. It sounds like the drone circuit is three oscillators run through a delay.

Fair enough, I always thought they were cheaper. I keep intending to learn how to use a sewing machine just enough to stitch some synth dust covers.

Part of the reason Deck Saver stuff is so $$$ is that aside from just molding the cases in the UK, they also use UK-made plastics.
Honestly, I feel like anyone complaining about the price of that CB fadershield has never priced a cover and hinge kit for a 1200.

It's not so much the factory and materials, so much as the localized mechanisms. In the UK, you're paying a registry fee to the High Lord of Petroleum, as well as a duty to the Duke of Winterbottom, and a tax to the Royal Office of Export Ministries.

GFI launched two compact, stereo pedals (TRS cable required). It appears the launch may have crashed their site. :idk:

There's 4 algos for the reverb & the delay respectively, which I believe are sourced from their previous releases. They do feature momentary switches, if you're looking for that in a $199 offering.

I don't think I've heard anyone say that they wish their pedals were more compact . . . . . just sayin

Had the Specular Tempus for a little bit, I find their algos to be a little too pristine for my tastes.

It would be nice though if the Synesthesia had stereo inputs and dual mono paths.

Say it or type it? If you haven't seen people protesting that some pedals are too large, you're avoiding a lot of internet nooks.

ILF is better than most places, when it comes to abstaining from complaining about pedal board real estate, but there's definitely some animosity out there for pedals that are perceived to be larger than necessary.

My only up-close experience with GFI is the WaveLogic, which is solid, but not spectacular. I would agree, that their stuff seems to be fairly cemented into the clean side of the spectrum.

Ehh... :idk:

When I search Walrus Flanger (filtered to today), I get nothing back on YT. I don't know if all the initial demos are private uploads, or if this is a Google/YT glitch.

If USPS hadn't lost my computer, I'd be playing this right now alongside Albedo and some UVI synths/mallets/pianos.

Oh I complain about pedals that are too large, put me squarely in that camp. Pedalboard real estate is just too valuable to suffer some maniacal large box fetish that is potentially compensating for some insecurity or another. Or laziness or lack of interest. It is always disappointing to be excited about a box and when it arrives, it is like twice the size that was expected. I'm looking at you JPTR and Wardenclyffe Deluxe, dammit

No, I am referring specifically to GFI boxes. The Specular Tempus is extremely compact for all the features. I don't see the point of making a slightly smaller box with just a few of the other's algorithms.

I played this last night and I really like it. I think I have all of the Unfiltered Audio plugins but this one is potentially my favorite.

Didn't so much care for the reverb, at least on what I was messing with, but the other stages have a lot of potential for a lot of interesting and unique explorations.

This would be an awesome fucking radical af hardware pedal. UVI Shade too, another recent one that I have fallen in love with that I found through ILF. Just imagining those two with lots of knobs, buttons and a touchscreen . . . . :yay: :yay: :yay:

I'm thinking that we are reaching that saturation period for granular, like it's going to be the gated snare of this generation. Lots of pop songs and such using it, which is wild as it was this weird experimental thing in my head for the longest time.
