I thought it was interesting if a bit forced. Almost forgot keanu was in it. Tbf he's established as a movie toughguy now after John wick, like liam neeson after taken
I missed this, sorry. I don't always 'like' Refn's films but I'm glad he's out there making them. ONLY GOD FORGIVES is a masterpiece so I kind of hold him to a higher standard. Also, Jena Malone

(this guy may or may not have had a crush on her since DONNIE DARKO came out

).
I don't think it was a 'tough guy' role so much as a nefarious jerk. Keanu is usually tough in his movies but more stoic whereas in NEON his character was the most abrasive and brash role I've seen him in. I had no qualm with the actors in that film, the story telling just became moronic (which would not have been a problem had they held on to a cohesive visual element).
Speaking of the desert and Keanu, did you see THE BAD BATCH yet?

So do matches.

Disagree. When I smoked I liked to use matches from time to time to capture that rugged vintage nostalgia vibe, plus taking the challenge of only having a few chances to light one up. Plus matches allow fun party tricks like lighting a strike anywhere off my teeth. My mother was not impressed at a holiday dinner, but I think my nephew thought I was pretty cool for about 5 minutes.

Oh, and taking off all the matchtips and stuffing them into things for impromptu bomb making. I mean allegedly. I mean it sounds fun and easy. I mean I saw it on TV once. Yeah, wasn't me.
I may be a pyro.

Why were the haircuts controversial? (Not off topic, this is the 'controversial thread')
