I'm kind of in a weird position with bands.
I have recently "joined" a band with some guys that I haven't known very long. They're cool and all, but I've only been to one practice and really only hung out with them a couple of times.
Yesterday, I find out that some dudes I used to play in a band with are auditioning bass players and may ask me to join up. These guys I have spent a lot of time with in the past and became very good friends with.
On one hand, I really want to play with my friends' band, but, on the other, don't want to let down these guys that invited me into theirs.
Don't know what to do.

I've had a similar experience before..though the time was more drawn out..like, being in one band that split, but holding out in the hopes that it would come back...but also fielding requests to join another...wasn't sure whether to hold out on the old band or try the new one....ended up in neither band

i had a creepy dream about oliver ackermann last night
he had this program. you know how people pay a couple thou and learn how to make shoes in like, hungary? well it was like that, pay him some coin and he'll teach you how to make pedals. but he didn't teach you enough so that you could make shit on your own. no. he held you in slavery and used your money for materials. it was like a sweatshop. and no one could leave because of stockholm syndrome.

That sucks.
I had a dream where I was way in debt and suddenly remembered -- THE DRAWER! I CAN SELL THAT THING THAT I'VE BEEN SAVING ALL THESE YEARS JUST FOR THIS OCCASION! I ran to my room and opened the top drawer of my dresser which seemed to be radiating golden light. Inside was an Electric Mistress. Fuck.
I also had a weird dream where this chick was trying to kill me with axes she could materialize out of the air. One time she tried to make an axe but trash bags filled with shredded paper appeared in her hands. I grabbed an axe she had thrown at me and started slicing through the bags, started slicing her up. Every time I hit her she faded and glitched out like a weak satellite signal. I turned around and we were standing about 5 inches apart. She smiled as RCA cables dangled from her mouth. I took a picture of her. Then, she became my girlfriend.
Also in that dream was a factory where psychedelic smoke rolled out of its chimneys. It looked like it belonged in Fantasia. There was a LOT of weird shit but that's the main stuff...yeah.

I had a dream the other day that I had to pretend to be Andy Dick in order to break into a Scott Pilgrim-esque underground rave/villain's hideout. The password was "2" and I think there was a lot of influence from Robert E. Howard's Skull-Face which I had read the day before.
In other news, I'm seriously considering seeing how many times I can masturbate in a day. Near five months of unemployment is really taking its toll. There's no smiley appropriate for how I feel right now.

It kept asking me to spell "already." Eventually, I said "Enough already!"
I really want to be in a band!!!

i went to a show last weekend and the guitarist/frontman played a 4 stringed strat tuned F# D G# B. since then, temptation has been strong to pick up a cheap guitar from the pawn shop and fuck with this. he played mostly in first position iirc, and it was all really kinda normal pop music, too. i can't help but wonder whyyyyy. what's the advantage?
