Red Panda RD-1 Pitch Delay Prototype:
https://www.instagram.com/p/DFNZBfnsM8I ... BsYmwwYg==

“ Say hello to the Red Panda RD-1 pitch delay prototype🙋🏻
The RD-1 pitch delay is a digital delay with a frequency and pitch shifter that can be placed inside or outside of the feedback loop.
Shift all repeats by the same amount, or endlessly up or down.”

There’s also a “reverse” button in view. People’s initial questions seem to run to Boss PS-2 or-3 equivalency, and that makes sense.

Ok interesting- smaller enclosure, one footswitch. Kind of like a mini raster?

https://youtu.be/7QYE8fQxb14?si=9VLJ3neSmiJKmVJj Miraculously a not-complete-crap NAMM video for the RD-1. It is indeed intended as a simplified Raster. That might gateway some people into interesting delays, so I’m all for it.

These budget pedals might be fun. They remind me of Alabs. $149 street, coming this summer, and they were being shown off by Fractrix (distributors of Hotone, Valeton, Sonicake)

Hurdy gurdy of the future.

That fishing reel trick is pretty cool though damn. Never thought of that

Has anyone else been following Roli's Airwave?

It tracks your hands with infrared cameras, so it can give you feedback on your playing (learning app/subscription), or it can track expressive gestures when your hands are hovering over the keys. (piano as a theremin)

Looks like OBNE has a new version of the Black Fountain on the way in the same format as the Dark Star- presumably stereo and all the fixins.

Caroline has a new mystery delay apparently.

Alexander has three (!) new boxes:

- Syntax Error XP- looks like a smaller upgraded Syntax Error
- Anywave Modulation Studio- super duper multi mod thing
- Dead City- looks like a sci fi reverb thing in the larger Forget Me Not format. Has Blade Runnery gramphics on it.

Source Audio has a new delay/reverb called Encounter. Idk looks like the Collider but with different algos maybe

I only skimmed stuff on it, but Encounter did indeed look like a Collider with different paint and different pre-loaded algos. I would read this like the Digitech/Pro Guitar shop Supernatural version of the Hardwire Reverb--just by the names on the dial, this may be a more effect-y and less normy stock set.

Last day to order a limited run BL-13. (a prototype that was not expected to ever become a regular product)

I don't know that this replaces anything for octave/harmonizer fans, but I have enjoyed the other pedals in this series like the BL-44 reverse device.

Image
***BL-13 will only be available until February 13th. Then it will disappear as quickly as it arrived.***

BL-13 is an octave pedal with a touch of ‘verb.

Oh gosh they finally added a proper wet/dry mixer.
The original sounded so good but the stupid volume jumps with no remedy other than blending more dry signal made it one of the most infuriating pieces of gear I've ever owned
Would definitely like to pick one up at some point.

I spent a lot of time with the Enzo. The thing I missed on it was proper ADSR envelope control. Some of its features were a bit useless I thought so there was definitely room to implement ADSR controls, instead of that envelope control that was really unintuitive and a bit maddening.

Won't be doing the X, have gone full ITB VSTi thanks to the Fishman Tripleplay, which I think you were the one who clued me into that, backwardsvoyager. Thank you, one of my by best gear purchases ever, having a blast with it.

Ujam just dropped two new plugins (Delay & Filter). Their reverb was probably my favorite verb plugin for sound design and unique textures, which makes me extremely excited about these. In a nutshell, these are insane. They are tools/toys/instant fun generators. :!!!:

What makes them unique is that you can combine the standard effect (ex. plate reverb or spring with a Ujam Finisher algorithm). So instead of running 70s plate with modulation or pre-delay, you can run 70s plate with bitcrusher or granular delay. You can combine an aggressive dirt with spring reverb for blown-out, apocalyptic percussion. For cinematic/psych/post-rock/experimental, the Ujam stuff really goes into interesting territory. Regardless of whether you're using guitar, piano, synths, orchestral libraries, or drum machines, they offer immediate timbral shifts and soundsculpting alterations.

My current signal is Cherry Audio's CR-78 plugin with the UFX Filter into the UFX Delay and it's giving me insanely otherworldly percussion loops. (retro-future psych, trip hop, growling drones) With the option to enable/disable the Finisher side, you can instantly dial up wild new sounds---and that's off a couple of clicks. If you want to stack 2-3 different Delay presets in sequence, there's really no limit to the textures and worlds you can build with these.

(of course you don't have to go crazy. You can do more basic, studio staples. You've got the master blend as well as a blend for the Finisher effect, so you're always a couple of clicks from finetuning undertones and diffusing the added coloration.)

They're running a crossgrade bundle for anyone with a previous Ujam purchase, so if you buy something like Circuits (on sale for $9), you can then checkout again for the full effects bundle ($39 for 3 insanely fun effects). ($49 with no crossgrades) If you own Reverb V1, the whole bundle is $29 (Delay, Filter, Reverb V2). Any of these would be worth >$50 on their own, so that price is a steal. They're going to give you so many options, that can't be done in other delay/filter/reverb plugins.

I'm more excited about this bundle, than anything in the plugin or hardware space right now---these are ridiculously fun and inspiring. Def 10/10 for versatility, and despite all the options for customization, they're really intuitive and immediate. You don't have to tweak many parameters to get gratifying sounds. The stock presets are already quite good for instant soundtrack vibes.
