The email notifications from PMs' here have definitely seem to have gone by the wayside, plus I've been keeping a fairly mellow sense of time myself, but we are now solidly in Phase II!

We're about 80% of the way through our track, just changed the end with a lot of Lumena's samples (thanks, your acoustic guitar parts were just what I needed to break up the drones)... just mixing things and working out the ending and we will be done

..and we're done! Our track is ready Thanks everyone for your samples, my son and I are really pleased with the final track - we would never have created something like this ourselves in terms of the style of it and it's given us some ideas for our own music. Let us know when / where you want the tracks uploaded Heraclitus.

Cool, I will try and get finished song folders ready on some quiet time Monday/Tuesday.

Okay! Slightly belatedly, folders are set up for Phase II (completed tracks). In theory, it should inherit the shared status from the parent folder, so I think you should be able to get there from the link you already have... Could someone check + confirm? Otherwise I will DM links.

Thinking ahead about final deadlines + album release: in the past we've done it on a Bandcamp Friday, but they tend not to have 'em in summertime (and who knows when the new owners will can them overall). But Bandcamp has been doing the Juneteenth fundraisers the past few years (where they give their cut of album sales to racial justice orgs) and'll hopefully keep that going this year. Assuming that happens, that'd be on June 19th. How would y'all feel about participating in that/making that our release date (assuming the fundraiser is on)?

Not had any time for this for ages, and was feeling a bit daunted, but there's some very cool stuff in the tracks and I've started downloading some choice bits, and a bit of inspiration is landing! Looking forward to properly getting into it, lumena your drone pieces black orpheus and test3drone are great to listen to! Pretty much felt like songs to me already so I have downloaded other bits for use, but I loved listening to them.

Hope you get something done dubkitty! Anything is good I reckon. My track just needs a bit of mixing, came together surprisingly fast once I started playing with stuff, despite having no preconceptions of what I was going to do.

i was thinking about selecting 3 samples from other folks' libraries at random, loading each one on one of the three loopers, and doing something where i schmeeze back and forth between the 3 environments and mix them together. i could still do this if i can get the samples recorded on the Ditto+2s; there should be some way to get them through a 1/4" jack if i can't use their mini USB ports.

As a reminder, this is the weekend to get things done!

Important question: anyone interested in working up an album cover?

Ah yeah, just need to do final mix on my track, I'll upload it tonight. I have no real ability with the visual arts so I'd prefer to sit out album covers, but happy to give notes or take some shit sky photos or something. I'm wondering about a digital collage of each of us taking a picture of the local sky, to reflect the themes of the record. But I have no idea if that would actually look good or just be a mess!

EDIT: uploaded! Guess I mixed it well enough while putting it together. Nice thing about sample-y music made in the box I guess
