Damnit, I forgot the box of Worry that Cosmicevan got in on November Fricking Ninth last year. I should have set a general guideline—except for extenuating circumstances (yours or your mark’s) let’s try not to have these arriving a month and half before Christmas. Not to be overly pagan-normative about the specific arrival/opening date, but that just seemed cruel.

As the person who sent this box of worry, I have to agree with this sentiment, though the cruelty was not my original intention (....somehow). In fact, it was to allow cosmischevan to continue his endless gear GASsing unabated, especially through the Black Friday sales, going-out-of-my-mind coupon codes, seasonal affective deodorant sprays, and 2-for-1 deals as Zellers that only wreak havoc on the typical holiday buying public, as well as the people who love to give the gifts. Also, I was in between surgeries that ended up having to happen between Thanksgiving and Xmas, so I had a lot going on, efficiency was the word of the day, I'm amazed it arrived at all, etc., but yeah, big whoops on my part.

Anyway, long game is best game, maybe, as long as that game ends somewhere around Xmas, right?

Nah, I don't plan on shipping it now. I just found a good deal on a piece of kit and had to strike.

If it helps to assuage anyone else's Satanning paranoia/premature exclamation announcements, I'm into page 50 of my mark's posts, and it's been a wild ride. Lotsa great ideas! But I'm gonna try to blow this thing out the water before Thanksgiving hertz, and ship by early December, if all goes as planned.

We have had people send adult beverages in years of yore.

Obviously not a cool thing to do if the person is in recovery, but I assume that’s the sort of thing that people disclaim in their sign-up info. (I have always been clear for myself no drugs, even if legal in my state—I stay clear because of consequences for my career.)

It's technically illegal but I've never heard of anyone having trouble. You should double bag it in sturdy zipperbags to protect against accidental leakage. Even something in an aluminum can could be a hazard.

I recall seeing some shipping suggestions for bottled fluids on a homebrew forum, but I ultimately decided against the risk of damage to the other things last go around - time will tell on this one. For the record, I'm happy with anything, though I find it takes me longer to get around to drinking an alcoholic beverage than it used to. More time to savour, I suppose.
