Yeah the interstellar orbiter was/is cool, but I think the lust is mostly driven by the fact that now they're less available than before.
I snagged another misty cave because of this and tbh it's still in the box it arrived in from the postie.

Did they stop making them or what? I'm pretty out of the loop on EQD these days.
... Ah the ol Misty Cave, another that was set free only to be missed

I guess so? They're not listed on the site anymore. And it has been like seven years, somehow.

Pah, seven years. A mere mote in the eye of the pedal universe!

Also there are 1 zillion YT demos of this thing and still I am not Moog-ified enuff 2 pounce.
Stereo is nice, tho
I ended up picking up this one and it’s pretty cool- lots of ways to combine both sides and get kind of any weird filtery effect yer looking for- I use it in its most boring capability, which is a vanilla high pass filter on one side and vanilla low pass on the other, in series, at two different points in the pedal chain. I like the high pass a lot- the low pass is kind of finicky to get right- the sweep of the slider is weird and very touchy in spots. I definitely prefer other lpfs out there but for high passing, it’s perfect. Not many hpfs in the pedal world.

there's a lovely low pass/high pass filter combo box out now from Analog Music Company called the So High So Low. it has an overdrivable preamp as well and seems like an ideal sonic reducer to make yourself sound like you're playing through a 70s pay phone. check this demo by one of my favorite YouTubers (i.e. one of the three or four i follow/depend on/can stand) which shows it off in several band-style recordings where it's used in various ways. i'm seriously thinking about shitcanning my Ibanez LF7 Lo Fi in favor of this, which is kind of a Lo Fi on PEDs. it does what i want the Lo Fi to do, but isn't sophisticated enough or have the range to do.
