The circuit I gave to Jero was the "from Hell, with built-in starve and some other options. The original is a few trick pony, this ...I still haven't found everything in it a few years out.

It makes the "all in one" Meth-Shark Devi pedal that he built (that I got from BluGhost a few years back) look....sane.

Whoops... I guess I should’ve paid more attention to that...

Anyway, my original question still stands, does anyone know where this circuit falls in the DE lineage? I know the majority of the original lineup were just mutations of... like, what... 3 or 4 main circuits, so it’d be interesting to know it’s “family tree” if only for the history of it. Like I said, rfurtkamp’s demos sound sound a lot like my old Soda Meiser with the chaos switch on, but I’ve owned 4 of those from all different Devi eras and they all sounded different.

Hell... Off topic, but I still kick myself for selling my old AE. I haven’t played another that had anywhere close to the same sound!

And rfurtkamp, the OG Devi’s are totally “few trick ponies”! They’re deceptively versatile based on what guitar/pickups/instrument you use and those fickle input impedances! They’re instruments in and of themselves.

I have several, none sound identical, and I live in fear of unwrapping the electrical tape lest the gay mojo falls out.

ALLisNOISE wrote:Will this new version be a 1 for 1 remake (as far as anyone can replicate EXACTLY a Devi... hell... she couldn’t ), or something closer to the “From Hell” version with a few extra mods and options tossed in?
Either way, I’m definitely interested!
I was planning on doing the "from Hell" version, as it already expands on the original without taking anything away.

An original has been offered to me for investigating, though I don't think that's needed (?).

It's similar, in the way that all her fuzzes were  ...but it's like a Soda Meiser with an extra gain stage, and some other wacky shit tossed in for fun :animal:

Heyyy! That was a fun pedal too. I ended up making him a SM/GZ combo for trade not too long ago

Preliminary testing went well. It overdrives, it big fuzzes, it pinches, pseudo octaves, sends and receives other transmissions (discernable or not), noises and noises...

Yea, the 'respectable overdrive' surprised me, that's NOT in the original version to put it mildly.

So is the test pattern to the big muff what the fuzz factory is to the fuzz face?

And then some, basically, providing you're taking about the From Hell version.

Yeah she kind of fuzz factory'd her soda meiser. I actually ran this for a bit with the last gain stage removed and it was pretty cool. Yet another variant, haha.

So far aiming for top mounted jacks in a 125b, with printed boards. Can we agree on some art?

I liked that pic/idea Goroth posted. I know this place is full of creatives, let's hear it :snax:
