I love EQD but for sure they don't work well with every instrument. I personally dig on their fuzzes a lot and their drives. I also dig on their modulation but not as much.

I've never liked Walrus and meeting them at NAMM made me like them even less, sooooooo...yea. lol. Their stuff legit does not work with active basses well (shut up Jeff!) and I'd say that there are several other brands that are like that.

You ever feel like some of these brands are all run by one place and we are being lied to? #builderconspiracy

When I first saw this thing I thought it was hideous but now I dig it. The "Truck Loud" logo just looks so primitive and brutal.

You know what I used to never care about - but now I do? Boss Metal Zones - there’s this spectrum of older ones that look like HM-3s that are almost black with a similar orange writing and now they’re like..... dark silver grey with this horrible orange colouring. It’s the exact same pedal but some look awesome (like.... less pretentious than an HM-2 - which I also love) but the newer ones are so ugly. It’s wild. I’m obsessed with them.

Yeah, now add a active electric cello, doublebass and passive guitars and you want them all to work through the same rig... Fuckers... You know home many pedals you end up going through.

^^Truck Loud was my first booteek pedal and I love it, but it has this weird look/colour that looks out of place next to anything else except like a yellow Boss OD.

Mine came with a metal washer btw, not the white plastic one.

I think most Bosses look great but not the Metal Zone, it should have a flat or bare finish.

Yeah I don't think it got more likes because walrus pedals look good, i think they as well as EQD are just a popular company due to how accessible their sounds are compared to the noisy shit I like because of this place.

I also don't prefer their pedals either, too tame in most respects, but their phoenix power supply has been extremely useful.

I personally think the Timebender looks alright. Not the best looking but wouldn't call it hideous. I've always had a softspot for the boss twin pedals though, which are kinda similar. I love how the Slicer and DD-20 look like space ships, sort of. That said though, I think the new 200- and 500-series are insaaaanely boring looking. But that kinda goes for the big strymon units too, although not as bad imo. Obviously very subjective. I reaaaaally like the look (and sound!) of Fuzzrocious stuff, but know others on here don't dig them at all.
