erm...I just saw this thread and ho-lee shit what happened? I don't totally agree with genxide's initial approach, and a good deal of his responses later on, but geez I don't think we're sending out a good message here. If you actually read a lot of what genxide wrote in response to VDPs OP, he had some informative things to say. Granted, there were some harsh words as well in those responses, but we're only fueling the fire here.

I like MBV and SRV, so what? I know a lot of us here consider this a tight knit community, but this seems a little ridiculous. I don't like what genxide's sig says, but I can't help but think our handling in this thread contributed to those thoughts.

If there are issues between 2 people in a thread, wouldn't it make more sense to settle it privately than to have everyone taking sides and making a huge deal out of it?

I expressed how I felt about all this a while back in one of my last posts on this thread, and it actually was resolved... Or so I thought. Not a big fan of the sig. It might be because he forgot to change it, or maybe he just is being cranky about this. Either way, I'm not really all that distressed about it and I don't think that this thread is getting the kind of attention that it deserves. I'd much rather all of you new-to-this-thread fuckers tell me whether or not to baritone my strat. I'll make an attempt to upload a pic soon.

it will be good enough to have fun with, and it might work out great. i did it to les paul so i did not worry about the trem system. you might need an extra spring, but you might not. do not worry about stretching out the springs. you will pop the strings before you can hurt those springs. unless i missed something all you need is a heavy gage of strings, so go buy some and tell us how it worked!

I see your point. There is definitely too much HCFX bashing going on here, enough to rival what most accuse HC of commiting. I wouldn't really say we troll HC that much (except for occasionally Rose, Devi, and sometimes HT) just hate.

My only problem with HCFX is that it is far too big a pond to post in, and the pedal forum has so many off-topic threads. It's really not that bad.
