I (and a lot of others I believe) use the Boneshaker more like a parametric dirty boost. Gain down, volume dimed...rules.tremolo3 wrote:I'm not really into distortions other than Rats really, but for $40... must...resist...John Matrix wrote:Its not too latetremolo3 wrote:I must be the only person who didn't get a DOD this year.John Matrix wrote: DOD Boneshaker

Didn't get one either because they are still original price over here, which, at this point, is just super weak.tremolo3 wrote:I'm not really into distortions other than Rats really, but for $40... must...resist...John Matrix wrote:Its not too latetremolo3 wrote:I must be the only person who didn't get a DOD this year.John Matrix wrote: DOD Boneshaker

More of an heavy higher gain doomy overdrive tbh. And like previously stated... rules as a gritty EQ/Boost. I have also used it as a Bass Pre-amp.tremolo3 wrote:I'm not really into distortions other than Rats really, but for $40... must...resist...John Matrix wrote:Its not too latetremolo3 wrote:I must be the only person who didn't get a DOD this year.John Matrix wrote: DOD Boneshaker

This year I bought...
a big box rat
a ibanez de7
a dod fx65
a mxr blue box
So I've been travelling backwards through time in general but I also visited the future where I purchased a tiny ammoon looper made by Chinese children.

I mean, I connected with a lot of stuff and still flipped it.PeterBregman wrote:After seeing all these massive buy/sell lists, I feel like there needs to be another thread for what gear you actually kept/liked/connected with.

A ton of my list is stuff I still have though. Which is equally as fucked up.
I also think the question you posed is accurate.
"I do not have the ability to think rationally 90% of the time and I also change my mind at the drop of a hat".

Re: 2017: the year in gear
Only thing I got I don't like is the MXR Phase 95. Doesn't sound great on bass. Bought it without trying it from a coworker. I'll eventually flip that when I stop being lazy. I want the new Dunwich Phaser. I actually got to try that and it is thick enough to handle bass.PeterBregman wrote:After seeing all these massive buy/sell lists, I feel like there needs to be another thread for what gear you actually kept/liked/connected with.
