i hear u man. i have 2 MG's and while i love the OG white/cloudy one i have, the black pigeon one is my favorite b/c i can actually read the writing on it

fwiw, u can easily swap the knobs for different ones. thats what i did.
or paint lil line indicators on them w/ a small paintbrush or paint marker

also the display tells u what each knob value is while u are turning it

fitted that sweet lipo battery in my MG tonight.
should give me ~15 hours of run, which is a bit more than a standard 9v battery i believe (~8-10 hours?)
either way will be nice not running thru 9v's anymore.
ended up repurposing the existing switch for turning on/off the charger/boost board
by cutting the trace on the switch that usually goes to power
and then just soldering the new power wires in further down the line
so far working good! :yay:

Is there any disadvantage to running the MG off a 9v daisy chain?

it is center positive which is not as friendly for the rest of your daisy chain usually
other than that should be fine. it runs at about 50-60mA
