Oh I was just talking about the CISDMan in specific.
I'm sure that UC can elaborate more, but it's a delay pedal with a random stutter thrown in. One of the knobs adds the amount of stutter to the delay signal... so it can be used as a straight delay pedal.
But as a pure stutter pedal you have to deal with this delay that keeps getting in the way as I couldn't figure out a way to just get it to stutter. So maybe it's cool to someone out there, it was just frustrating to me.

It's uncontrollable/illogical/unpredictable in the bad way. It might as well have been a delay with random delay time on each repeat. It was just a mess. The stutters were ear-piercing as well. Too shrill. And whenever it decided to go nuts and self-oscillate, you would have a very bad time.

I feel like there're knowledge and music taste barriers that keep people out. You have to have a fairly good understanding of how both normal and "weird" effects work to contribute here, really.
I think we have lots of lurkers who don't post much because they literally don't know what we're talking about; like, if you have trouble understanding a boss dd3 you might not have much to say when people here talk about all the weird/glitchy/pitch-shitty delay features we love and want. If you think your ts9/solid state amp combo sounds THICK you might really hate and/or be confused by the 1000 flavors of fuzzzz people here seem to enjoy.
It you pretty much exclusively listen to the top 20 you're probably not going to want to explore the weirdness that this forum seeethes either. And you're not going to be interested in 90% of the sounds we like here.
Or this, it could be this:

(and that NSFW is exactly as advertised so don't blame me)

Quoting myself because I edited to add some more stuff I remember from my short time with it.

I hate that I looked at Space's balls for like the third time. UGH!
It's also worth noting that I never play different regardless of the pedal.

This is sarcasm right?
Meant to say that the guy specifically seems to know his shit. But, I like the sarcasm interpretation better.

Shitty titles are becoming the norm to draw in readers. Gotta get that sweet ad revenue. "15 Boss pedals that sound exactly like Mantic distortions", "You won't believe what this $22 Boss pedal sounds like" etc.
I think the Csidman would be great for a harsh noise tabletop setup, you really needed hands on control to get the most out of it. Would hardly call it a terrible pedal, though.

Yeah UC is giving me gas for it, actually.

Funny about the Csidman...so when we had a car repair to take care of I had to begrudgingly sell my Revolver as I knew it'd sell the quickest and it was my most expensive pedal.
So a few weeks later I tried a Csidman to substitute for Mode 5 on the Revolver ...and I just couldn't really get on with it so sold it shortly after BILF (it was on my BILF board)
I have a Revolver again so all is good in the world.

Get a room, you two. And while you're in there, try thinking of a worse glitch pedal.

IDK for me the Raptio is the end all be all of glitch pedals.
