Nice, opinions on the DD-5 and DD-6 vs the DD-3? To me the DD-3 just seems less.
I like the simplicity of the DD-3. I don't need or want all the features like hold or loop or reverse. Nothing is sadder to me than watching a musician and their looper.......can you say "BORING!"

Next-level trolling and reverse trolling and inverse trolling and maybe perverse trolling... all right here in this thread.

This guy's day later today:

At Starbucks. BOSSMAN orders a Frap with extra whip and extra caramel sauce. He's with his friend, a greasy male who works part time at a porn shop cleaning the jerk off booths.

BOSSMAN, "Man, you should've seen my trolling today!"
Grease, "Oh ya?! Tell me more."
*takes a sip of his bitch drink*
BOSSMAN, "So I went to this music and gear forum, and decided to shit all over what people like and create. And I made it seem like some objective truth."
GREASE, "Dude...you're so cool. I wish I was like you bro."
BOSSMAN gets an erection due to GREASE's admiration.
BOSSMAN gains the courage to approach an attractive woman. He asks her out. She gleefully declines.
GREASE, "What happened?!"
BOSSMAN, "Total bitch. She's too boutique for me anyways. I'll just treat myself to another hooker."

Later at home, BOSSMAN realizes he's broke. He then hops on YouTube, jacks off to a Justin Bieber interview, and then finds pedal demos to shit on in the comments section.

He oddly feels great about his life.

Praising boss and decrying small builders is pretty silly if your main boss pedals are all out-of-production collectable models that they made for a couple of years in the 80s/90s.

Exactly! My supposedly boutique fuzzes are easier to find and cheaper than an FZ-2. I've got nothing against an FZ-2; I'd like to own one, but snobbery is snobbery.

Jeff Caxide from ISIS and Justin Chancellor from Tool are two that come to mind. Of course, it's mixed with other stuff too, but a lot of their "main" tones come from off the shelf RV-3's, DD-5's, BF-2's.

I just paid $80 for a very easy to find FZ-2 (there's a bunch of them on Reverb right now). My last Boutique fuzz was $300. Granted it's an amazing Rogue One by COG. Even still, the FZ-2 beat it out, which is what led me originally to post this thread. My Bosses all beat the Boutiques in simple head to head shootouts. I still have a drawerful of Boutiques, it's just that I hate the snobbery involved with so many boutique builders.....and the beard hair.

Lol, pretty funny. Found that entertaining, although wildly off mark. If it makes you feel better to think of me in this way though, have at it.

Putting aside the question of which pedals just sound better*, I would rather support a small business with my pedal collecting than shovel more of my hard-earned cash to a giant corporation.

*you would have to be crazy (or mind bogglingly boring) to think any Boss dirt can stand up to the SS/BS stuff

This course, a perpetual alternation of determining what is true, and then setting aside this determining, constitutes, strictly speaking, the steady everyday life and activity of perpetual consciousness, a consciousness which fancies itself to be moving in the realm of truth.
