I'm sure this has been mentioned in this thread, but I REALLY like the Earthbound Audio '71 Supercollider. I also own a pharaoh, hoof, and a little big muff. The '71 supercollider has a TON of range in sound, gets REALLY heavy, also has nice lower gain sounds, and then LED clipping switch lets you get really aggressive/biting sounds, more like a distortion than a fuzz. Plus, it has a mids knob AND the mass knob, AND the tone knob, which gives you a crazy amount of control over the overall EQ shape. I think it covers the same ground as both the pharaoh and hoof, and more, and sounds better than them all.

So yeah, it's my favorite by far. I haven't tried the regular supercollider.

i've tried a bunch of newer muff based pedals and the best one with mids i have come across is the Creepy Fingers Ramalama. the mids knob has a very wide range. it cuts through in a live setting better than other big muff i've tried. i've had a few since they came out, i sold one to amorphous, one to someone else here, and recently scored one off ebay that is never leaving my collection. if you can find one buy it immediately!
