I feel like 45-60 minutes is a better goal, since we could do a half hour interview, 5-10 minute demo, and some "news" in the space between. We could probably source the segments out to different members so that it's less workload on each member. One person does a demo, one person does the news, one person does an interview, and maybe the "news" person does theirs at the beginning and acts as the host for the episode by transitioning/introducing segments.

lets start small, 15min-30min to start. and see what happens first. starting with too much content can seem pretentious and be a tedious listen for new listeners.

I can demo something for the first episode if no one else wants to. Got a David Rolo Molecular Compactor incoming next week that might be nice to listen to. Not very well known and diverse. If no one else wants to go first, of course.

I'm more keen on the idea of it being a format for sharing our own insanity and the occasional demo of course but that will be harder for some than others obviously. Maybe we could pick themes or start with a list of questions we all think are interesting. You have to have a base or else this will be a cluster with no direction. I think making it gear related as well as real life experience/stories would be fun. Talk about how we got to where we are, where we came from and where we want to go.

Again, I have sexy voice I'll offer up when it's my turn. Jack knows it's sexy.

Yeah I can't handle the long form podcasts. If your convo naturally goes 2 hours I bet there is a big chunk that could be cut by the host/hosts.

And then you have to figure out how to fund it (or monetize it) because:

people's time is valuable,
who owns the content you're creating,
how to pay for hosting, equipment, marketing(?), etc

and you have to figure out what the highlight of the piece is: is it the discussion, is it the gear?

Yes. The idea was that the podcast would be for us, for fun. People are taking it a bit too seriously in comparison to what I had in mind when I started the thread.

I just like listening to podcast on public transportation or when I'm cooking. I'm not a big fan of the gear podcasts I've found, so I figured I'd be fun to hear Lord Galavar talk to Iommic Pope or something.

I love Galvar, but I feel like that's gonna be a real disappointing interview.

Although, you could ask me questions about things that people under 25 like and I could go on crabby rants about them, which could either be hilarious and/or sad.
