holy hell butts that thing is REPULSIVE.

....... sounds neat. OOMPH. CHOICES.
yeah it's gnarly. I used to use it in front of a Bassman head and would kick the pad during dub meltdowns.

Someone posted a stompbox convo-verb the other day, the Logidy Epsi, and I think you could probably do the same sorts of tricks with that to good effect :idk:
Keep a lid on it Mac I don't want everyone else knowing how much fun running homemade modulated noise oscillator samples into convo is.

What do you think about the Romferd as a reverb substitute for synths? Based on your video, it seems great at delivering metallic bursts and clangs, as an alternative to a traditional spring or chamber emulator.

I see the DBA Reverberation Machine gets some love, but seems to get moved along by most. For me, it's one pedal I've never had off my board and have never had the inclination to sell. If you want dirty-ass, swarm-y, gritty, groan-y, swelling lo-fi reverb, that's it. I've been rocking it since it came out and I'm still discovering new, surprising sounds in it. The "bright" mode is pretty useless with guitar (in most configurations), but gets mileage with keys and bass. And bass... don't get me started on how good it is with bass!! SO. GOOD.

yeah. the H9 has verbs but.... nothing super dirty and fun to play with? they sound nice, but not very angry.

......dirty as in filthy and gross in a musically gentially moistening way, not dirty as in distortion?
Have you tried the mangledverb(H9/Space)? :)

You could absolutely do that, but it is a little more finicky to set up to do bigger reverbish sounds without it going into self-oscillation (I have my volume and tone rolled down for those in the demo). That clanky sound is a wonderful thing though. Very unique. :thumb:

joining in the chorus here for the dba reverberation machine. it is my desert island pedal. the modulation on the reverb makes me want to cry it's so beautiful. and the gain is nutso, it has overdrive qualities and is super responsive to dynamics but can get fuzzy and fucked to death ugly as hell in the best way. it sounds even better on synths especially good with keyboard /piano sounds. need to run it through a wurlitzer or rhodes so i can finally rest in peace.

i have an rm1n and it's great but imo is less musical. it technically is capable of more stuff but a lot of that stuff is pretty intense ambiance or noise. my other reverb pedal is a neunaber wet stereo which is actually very underrated and is probably the best straight forward three knob digital reverb by a long shot.

He meant choir right?

I hate the DBA Reverberation thingy.
As with most DBA pedals you'll either get a good one or one that sounds like crap.

My buddy uni has got one that is great, I got one too and then whatever I did it would always fart out on the low notes.
It does not respond similarly to lower and higher notes and I fucking hate the pedal for that.

0 / 10 would buy again.

See this is what I was thinking. You can manipulate the H9 to do just about anything, so the Mangled Verb algo may be a good starting point.

Me every time I talk to someone that works at GC:

It sucks because, back in Texas, I befriended the pedal guy because he played shoegaze and knew a shitload about pedals. I brought my Echo Dream 2 there when I bought it (shortly after it first came out) and he freaked out and played with it for a solid half hour right in the middle of GC with me.
