I have a broughton PLL clone, not a Schumann
But just as a straight up bass fuzz, it will melt your face off.
It works well as a harmonizer if you want it to.
But I think the best part is when the tracking is all Mangled. It was originally described to me as a young puppy dog trying to find the right note. But the dog is too excited and over shoots it and rushes back to try and get it again.

It's shipped, just got confirmation from Russia.
Hope it doesn't get fucked up by customs.

I can wait to hear your report on how it sounds. I just traded for a second voice deluxe and I love it, but I want to know if this clone can do this Jp synth drops

I'm ready for it. It's been like a week and I' feel like I'm waiting and waiting and waiting.
USPS has it being picked up in Russia now, should be here in like 2 more week.
Not as bad as the Hail Satan I ordered that took damn near 2 months to ship. I get it, the dude works alone and yada yada. I just think why sell items if you don't have the stock.

Well fuck me.
This thing is outrageous. Just plugged it in for about an hour. It sounds.. insane. It's definitely going to take me a while to figure out settings I will consistently use. It's exactly what I thought it would be, which is a pretty crazy but predictable synth sounding fuzz/harmonizer. The dude who built it sent a little manual with descriptions of all knobs and switches which is a nice touch for a handmade do dad. Build quality seems solid, gonna change out the in/out and footwitches for high quality shit and check the guts out.
The drone is cool. The footswitch has a photocell for manipulation of the intensity or pitch of the drone note. Wtf. Why? Who knows?
All in all I like it a lot after an hour, but I BST shit all the time so only time will tell if this is a keeper.
Now I'm just waiting for my CT5 to show up to throw in front of this monster. Oh yeah and for another run of the TWA Great Divide. Oh and a 4046M when I have enough cash.
My girl is gonna murder me.

your speakers may murder you before your girl gets a chance.

Having built a few Schumann clones, I put together a bit of an instruction manual for the folks that bought them. This gives you a bit of a guide to help you get your head around the controls.
Sure Man! PLLone (Schumann PLL clone) manual
By: digi2t
PLL SECTION
ENGAGE footswitch – Engages or bypasses the effect. Red LED indicates that the effect is on.
CON. switch – Increases the response of the unit to lower frequency inputs. Works well for bass, or can be used to
create a more gated type response. NOTE: Engaging the CON switch will attenuate the Clean Output signal volume.
PREAMP – Controls the input signal strength.
TRIGGER – This a voltage divider control, which directly affects the sensitivity of the PLL. It’s most sensitive at the 12
o’clock position, but in this position, it will cause the squarewave to fire. For maximum sustain it’s best to set this as
close to the middle, but not so close that you here the unit generate noise. Swinging to the + or – side augments that
side of the wave. NOTE: This control is directly interactive with the preamp, i.e. the higher the preamp setting, you’ll
have to set the trigger further from the middle to kill any squarewave noise.
MULTIPLY / DIVIDE PHASE switches – These control the priority between the squarewave, and the multiply or divide
voices.
LOOP SPEED switch – These control the amount of note ramp up, and decay. There are three settings, 1 being the
shortest ramp/decay, and 3 the longest.
LAG – This works in conjunction with the Loop Speed switch. For each position of the Loop Speed, the Lag control
increases/decreases the ramp/decay for that position. NOTE: This control is interactive with any C.V. input as well,
changing the pitch of the note produced by the VCO.
RESPONSE – This controls how quickly the PLL locks onto a note. NOTE: This control is directly interactive with the LAG
control. If note ramping/decay is desired, setting this too low will prevent the PLL from picking up the note to
ramp/decay. NOTE: This control is interactive with any C.V. input as well, changing the sensitivity of the PLL to the note
produced by the VCO.
LOOP TRACK – This controls how tightly the PLL locks onto, and tracks a note. At the minimum position the note
produced will have a vibrato quality to it. NOTE: This control is directly interactive with the LAG control. If note
ramping/decay is desired, and you increase the LOOP SPEED and LAG controls, do not set the LOOP TRACK too high. Too
high of setting will lock the PLL onto the note too hard, not allowing the note to ramp/decay.
MULTIPLY selector- Sets the upper octave interval voice desired.
DIVIDE selector – Sets the lower octave interval voice desired.
SQUAREWAVE VOLUME- Controls the volume of the SQUAREWAVE output.
MULTIPLY VOLUME – Controls the volume of the MULTIPLY output.
DIVIDER VOLUME – Controls the volume of the DIVIDER output.
SQUAREWAVE SHAPE – Controls the tone of the SQAUREWAVE.
MASTER VOLUME – Controls the total volume output of the unit.
DRONE SECTION
DRONE footswitch – Turns on/off the drone note oscillator.
DRONE SWAP footswitch – Switches between two different oscillator notes. The yellow or green LED will light when
engaged, indicating which side frequency is engaged.
FREQUENCY SELECTOR switch – 1= FREQ.1 control drone note output, 2= FREQ.2 control drone note output, and 3=
drone note of combined FREQ. controls. Left switch controls the left side, right switch for right side.
FREQ. 1/FREQ.2 controls – Sets drone oscillation note. Left side is indicated by the yellow LED, and right side by the
green LED on the DRONE SWAP footswitch.
MOMENT SECTION
MOMENT footswitch – This is a non-latching switch. It engages only while depressed. You can use this footswitch to cut
in, or cut out the MULTIPLY and/or DIVIDE voices.
MOMENT ON switches – Turns the MOMENT function on/off for the MULTIPLY and/or DIVIDE sections.
ENGAGE/INTERRUPT switches – Assigns how the MOMENT footswitch will function when depressed for the MULTIPLY
and/or DIVIDE voices. ENGAGE sets the voice off, turning it on when depressing the footswitch. INTERRUPT sets the
voice on, turning it off when depressing the footswitch.
INPUTS/OUPUTS
IN – Instrument input.
OUT – Effect output.
CLEAN OUT – Unaffected IN signal output. NOTE: No signal output when the effect is bypassed.
C.V. – Control voltage input (0-5v) for the PLL VCO.
POWER JACK – The unit requires a 12v AC – 1000mA power supply.
Hope this helps.

Thanks digi2t! Very helpful, sorta like the PLL version of this:

Gotta ask, are you still making clones?

Digs mostly makes clones for his personal use/interest, I think.
Which is a damn shame because he's always into interesting stuff.

I do make the occassional build on request, but you're correct, I tend to shy away from it. Call it loving the chase, but I just don't want it to turn into "a job". That would kill it for me.
Sidebar; I've been entrusted with a Funk-a-Duck, so I'll be tracing that out soon. I just need to finish slogging through my Aion Lab Series preamp, and Son of Storm Tide flanger builds. Being idiotic enough to tackle both project at the same time... yeah, another reason why I don't have time to build for others.
Anywho, if anyone needs them here are the pdf's of the original Schumann PLL instructions;

Original PLL setting worksheets;

Instructions for my clone (which if I recall, I think also contains the two other files);

Got it, couldn't hurt to ask, right?
Seriously though, was just reading about the Son of Storm Tide Flanger and the Tau Pipe Phaser, so extremely cool. If you happen to make a pair of the SOST (you know, by mistake), please let me know.
But if your EE kung-fu can handle Jürgen Haible stuff, then I might pick your brain for help troubleshooting a Funk Logic AP-302 Algorhythmic Prosecutor. The "fruity" setting still isn't punchy.
