Well I came here to research this pedal,new to a lot of it & I guess I came to right place. Saw this on Reverb and now it's on it's way to me

They don't!
I have a lightly abrasive block thing I use to polish mine up every now and again. If you've ever done a press 'n' peel PCB it's the thing you use to get the ink off the board after you've burnt off all the exposed copper.
