thanks for the recommendation. I did end up ordering a mastery bridge 3 or 4 days ago, and it will hopefully get here in a couple of weeks (holidays and all...). The clincher was when I was jamming, and one of the springs came out of the bridge entirely making me dig on the floor in the dark for it. I also talked to the guitar shop where I get work done that I'm not comfortable doing myself, and he said they'd take care of intonation for me for cheap if I can't handle it.

Another small issue I will have to deal with is the volume pot. I still haven't pulled the pickguard off to look at the electronics yet, but the roll-off below 8 is pretty unusable. I don't know if I have a 1M pot or what, but I will probably try something else.

wow, awesome. nice color there. I just got mine back today from the guitar shop. I had it all pulled apart after receiving my mastery bridge, but then I ran into major family medical issues on Monday night. I ended up taking to my local guitar shop (wade's) and had them also re-do my volume knob. It turns out that it was a 500k linear pot. They put in a 1m audio pot and a 100k addon to let the treble bleed through. I'm used to audio pots I guess - I prefer the volume to go down less and having it clean up vs what it was (couldn't even hear the guitar below 7 of 10).

Super happy. This mastery bridge resolved all the issues. Now I just need to safely rip off that headstock decal to finish it off. They also suggested replacing the tone pot with a 1M because there's a 500k in there, but it seems to be OK

That's an awesome color there! Shoreline gold? That's interesting about the pots...I wonder what's stock in my AVRI. It seems to clean up fine, so I probably won't mess with it.

I do wanna make a few changes to mine. Definitely a Mastery, plus I'm planning to swap out the pickguard for a brown tortoise, as I dig the white but feel like it's a little too Jetsons-y with the turquoise. Plus I love the way the pickups pop against the darker guard.

Yours looks killer with the white guard... I feel like those work really well on lighter or more neutral colors.

Also probably going to swap out the witch hat knobs on mine for the more typical strat style, because they feel better imo.

The color for me is hard to peg down especially depending on the lighting. It is a lighter gray, but I see browns in it too. I could see where you'd say it is a really mellowed gold from that image. tortoise pickguards are cool! I bought a white warmoth one for my tele(parts)caster that looks real nice. I did have to grind the guard a bit on the top where the neck goes to get it to fit.

If the volume knob works as it is supposed to, I wouldn't bother messing with it :) Mine just sucked as is. Everyone has their preferences, and I guess I like audio over linear pots

Yep, that'd be shoreline gold. I have a strat in the same color—it's lervly. Kind of a warm, dull gold, almost silver. :thumb:
